Gameplay Instructions
My game may be played with keyboard or controller. On the keyboard, the arrow or WASD keys move the hero, while you can use the Spacebar to jump and 'E' to shoot.
On the controller, the joystick moves the hero, the bottom/A button jumps, and the right/B button shoots.
Some levels permit double jumping (this is indicated in the brief instructions prior to level start).
Jumping (Spacebar or A button) also works to select buttons in menus.
The game allows pausing by pressing the Escape key or 'start' controller button.

Unfortunately the game was lagging too much for me to be able to properly play it. But I really enjoyed the characters that were introduced in the beginning! A little heavy for an older computer maybe, but seemed to have so much character!
Oh darn! I'm sorry to hear that! I tried to optimize it as much as I could within the time we had, but the cartoon-style post processing and other fun features I was able to do in UE5 can slow down older systems. It did work well on my 1650 system, but I know that's still a pretty fast card. Thanks for trying it out! 🥰

I just finished the game! Good rhythm between the games and the dialogues. Endearing characters. Great animations. I liked the game of balls, the bike, the boxes to rotate, but I found the descent of the building too punitive and unpredictable. At the end the player-developer fully understands the perplexed feeling of Whiz!
But wait, did you do the male voices yourself?

I used a pitch transformer to lower my voice but I also did a really deep voice for Scary Dave and it hurt my throat a bit! 🥰
I've played through the first three levels and I love the creativity and originality of this game! It's got a really solid (and relatable) premise. Who could have known that a cat would be such a menacing foe? :D And I love the environment change when you touch the black balloons in the balloon level. Really unique and memorable.
