The mechanics are superb, a bit more polish can make it a super game.

i soft locked myself in the falling state between a box and a wall
Yeah I was initially going to make it so that you can reset things by pressing a button on the pause menu, but then I didn't get around to adding a pause menu, so there's a lot of ways to softlock yourself. If you ever manage to get a box to fall on you, then you can also get trapped that way.
