I thought this game was a fun twist, but I kinda had no idea how the combat system worked. It was very vague and I felt like I ran out of points to investigate before I had a clear idea of the story. I did like the creative aesthetic and it seems like a very good basis for a more fleshed out game. Interested to see what, if anything, you do with this idea in the future.
Thanks! The combat system was largely just tacked on at the last minute. For the points system, I deliberately wanted the mystery to still be vague so that the trials could themselves be a method for uncovering the truth, but I think the way its setup probably leaves too much uneasiness going into the final section. I am considering developing it further into a full commercial release (hopefully at around the length of an Ace Attorney game), but I'm gonna weigh my options a bit before that.
yeah I think it has potential for that kind of game! I thought the presentation and scene transition stuff was nice. I'm just bad at this type of game anyway so I failed pretty hard lol
This is a pretty good game, I'd certainly like to play a longer version of it. The "combat system" still needs some work, but everything else is pretty good to great. Especially the character animations :)
Thank you! Yeah, I honestly tacked on the final trial system at the last minute since everything else took up time (alongside college). I am considering doing a full version of it though.
I thought this game was fantastic! I was quite surprised! Congratulations!
Thanks!
