Great original assets (love that giant frog), use of music and eventing struck the right horror cord as well. Gameplay was pretty typical horror chase stuff mixed with some satisfying directional input sections. I can't say I enjoyed the horror chase or the mushroom avoiding parts, but they were well done for what they were. The light effects were awesome.

Did I miss hotkeys for the abilities? Checking the menu to check for poison was probably the biggest issue I had. Second issue was finding the escape path during the chase scene. Neither one was much of a hindrance, and I feel like a little tweaking would have improved these a ton, but that's jams for you. I'd say this entry excelled in all the criteria!

Skill hotkeys should be a great idea that I should code some time!

I don’t know what to say.

Respect the theme -> Check;

Have a good gameplay -> Check;

Have a nice experience with a polished game -> Check.

Yes, I kinda encountered some problems here and there, but they are all nitpicks I forgot (except for the fact it’s recommended showing up skills on the menu later and not when you have 0 of them. Also, I thought to use items somehow, maybe with fighting, but they were all key items. So yes, the menu especially at the beginning makes hard the thought of what the game is about).

I liked all the extra touches like the red eyes of Baba’Lu’s statue on night and the constantly changing faceset of Rain. It’s difficult to see this details nowadays.

Music is good, Gameplay too.

It’s a game that makes me again how a short game can give to you.

If you didn’t understand already, I liked your game!

it's so odd to me since I lost so many potential work days from running errands from having my car stolen and wrecked. To me this game lacks so much polish because there's so much more I could do if I had more work days. I think I learned a valuable lesson on how great games really need its most base fundamentals well designed.

Remember this is a game jam. It’s normal to make mistakes, but the most important thing is to learn from them. Again, I honestly enjoyed your entry. It’s improvable? Sure? It’s good as a game jam entry? Sure. Don’t think always what you don’t have, but more on what you have on this case. Post Jam versions are a thing, so you are free to expand it!

Well thanks, this is my 9th or so game jam so I know the drill

I can't rate you yet, cause you're not in my queue, but solid game. The graphics are nice and I loved casting those spells. Great job overall. That frog animation came out right too.

I really liked this game. I liked the input commands for healing and praying, and I loved the story. I especially love the cutscenes. A great way to provide lore without having to go searching for it. Unfortunately, I had a lot of trouble getting through the swamp once the Lost showed up, because I kept getting stuck in the grass and the path was hard to see with all of the fog. I suggest either making the Lost do less damage or having healing items so you can counter the damage they do to you. Even with the difficulty, though, it was a great game. Please keep up the good work.

Ouch, I should have tried harder to find playtesters for the latter half of the dev cycle (I had none)

Protip for everyone to save yourself some unecessary headache: it walks faster than the player and charges at you if it and the player is lined up on the X or Y axis. It has difficulty catching up to you if you make sure you're not aligned vertically or horizontally. If it makes a grunt noise, that is a cue to make a 90 degree turn to avoid its charge.

The exit on that first map is to the South West.

The second map is just a looping map and you automatically exit after roughly 20 seconds more or less. The timer goes faster if the Lost is bumping into obstacles or if your health is low

Wow impressive cutscenes,  cool story. I wish there was more.

I am hoping for a v0.9 uploaded tomorrow, the story would be complete enough
