Fun little game! The enemies felt a little same-y to me, but the magic spells and having a limited spell list was very cool. The style of the game was also really pretty.

I really enjoyed this one. The interesting spells keep the runs varied, and I'll always appreciate a teleport option.

I've had a blast with this game. Implementing magic and spells in a roguelike is always fun, and it's even more enjoyable when you play and can apply different effects to enemies.

Aesthetically, I really like it, from the chosen color palette to the tileset and the catchy music. I would have preferred to cast spells using the keyboard instead of the mouse (I don't know if it's possible to do so with the keyboard; I haven't managed to), but that's just a personal preference.

I didn't read the warning message during my first game and replaced my initial spell, but I quickly realized my mistake and played another game starting with two spells. I haven't reached level 15 yet, but I've had a lot of fun playing this game. Congratulations on the idea and the outcome; there's clearly a lot of work behind it.

Cute pixels and lo-fi beats. There was nice variety in the spells, made me think on my load out a bit, and I really wished I had teleport on room 10 on my second run, would’ve beat the evil wizard with that.

I would’ve preferred to play the game via the itch app, but unfortunately the Windows version crashed a few minutes into the game when running via Wine on Linux, so a Linux build would’ve been nice. I’m not sure why, but I couldn’t hold down a direction key, because the character would end up hopping back and forth — that could be a nice QoL improvement (being able to hold a direction to move there at a steady pace).

Overall, nice and classic entry, well done!

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed it and that you needed to think about load outs. I didn’t even know there was an itch app. The game only works on browser and Windows at the moment, I haven’t tried building on Linux but it is a good point that I should look into in the future. I am not sure what was happening with holding directions, you should be able to move continuously by holding a direction. I’ll look into those points though, thanks for the great feedback!

It's a nice little game with cute art. The music is good too. But the floor tiles look a bit like obstacles. I thought it would be nice to make them a little darker.

Catchy Tune, and nice game,
I like the different mechanics that are brought up with the many spells and the limited slots.
