What do you like about your game?
It was a very exploratory project with no particular idea in mind. In a way, that makes it more "abberant" and unpredictable however short and unfocused :)

Damn, what a great idea! An excellent puzzle game!

Developer

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed.

I beat it! I think this was a fantastic little brain teaser. Despite the rather simple visuals and gameplay it perfectly captures the tone that the title references. Even though there is nothing similar about the gameplay it reminded me of other more surreal games like Stanley Parable and Superliminal (some of my favorite games). Maybe I’m reading too much into it but I really enjoyed this!

Developer

Congrats! Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I did not really play Stanley Parable nor Superliminal but looking at the trailers made me want to try them out.

Interesting idea. Sadly, I got stuck in the first level (the "You could never do that [...]" one). I understood the mechanic after a while, but I just didn't know what could be the correct sentence (maybe not thinking as a native english speaker has something to do with that, but idk). Also (for your future game projects), I should point out that the music didn't loop and that the sound effect of the click is a bit too loud.

In any case, I think it's novel and there's potential in the concept, so good job, mate 🤝

Developer(+1)

Thanks! For sure I could have left more clues (as a not native speaker myself). Didn't really understand how difficult tasks might be. Appreciate the feedback on sfx and music.

P.S. It's not supposed to be a correct sentence. Just the word that's changing.

Submitted(+1)

I don't know how I did that, but I passed the first level :D
This is an exciting concept and the mechanics are intriguing, it really made my brains work 110% haha
A few tips on how to complete levels would be great

Developer

Glad you liked it! Agreed, game should've explained the mechanics a bit better or left more clues but by the time I realised that it was too late :(

not sure I understand how the rules work, are you just trying to make words by clicking certain letters, what makes some letters changeable while others are not?

Developer(+1)

Basically, yes. In each "level" there can be a changeable word, a word where each letter is changeable according to some rule. It could be that the letters were not changing because you clicked not exactly at it. This happened to me sometimes

Cool aesthetic, there could be something here if you turned it into a full game where things start to happen based off of the words that you create

Developer

Thanks! Indeed, that sounds interesting
