honestly my biggest problem on the framework side was just getting the bundler to work since I just wanted a vanilla typescript app; ended up going with Vite after switching between like 5 different approaches.

I think Three.js is pretty nice if you don't mind making lots of stuff from scratch, and have a good handle on linear algebra and transformation matrices. Makes for a nice lightweight app

thanks! yeah definitely check back in a while, maybe a month or so. I absolutely want to build it into something bigger

Agreed on the paper sounds. I wanted to have a continuous loop of paper folding sounds initially muted, and then increase the volume based on how fast you drag the edge. As for how satisfying it feels, I'm just as surprised. It started just as a hunch that click and drag from the edges would be a good control scheme, followed by way too much math to actually implement it

interesting concept. I wish there was some more sort of antagonistic force, beyond just managing to balance everything make the numbers go up

Interesting concept. It took me a few tries to realize that the asteroids were allowed to hit the planet, and it's just you that is dodging.

This is excellent, really great concept! It was over way too fast, I can totally imagine tons and tons of mindbending puzzles you could do with this one

Yeah definitely. Turns out multiple folds is much harder than a single fold--computational origami is a whole field I gotta read up on

I thought the spatial effect in the building with all the gravestones spiraling upwards was super interesting. Didn't have enough skill to crouch jump effectively and finish lol

Late to the party, but definitely enjoyed, great execution! Might be an issue with my setup on linux, but I wasn't getting any of the audio. But honestly I don't even think it was necessary, visuals were plenty for the mood!

Thank you so much! Yeah I totally agree about the acceleration feeling too low. I was playing with it at different values, but I think it needs something more complicated, like extra UI or engine effects or something. Or I was thinking I could make it less realistic by varying the force based on your current velocity and which way you're trying to accelerate. Definitely an interesting problem! Glad you enjoyed!

Yeah definitely quite hard, but great job overall! Was curious if it was a bug or intended, but it seems like there's extra jump/float you get if you are holding jump and touch the platform above you

Took me a little bit to figure out how to play, but I really like the 3D effects on the cards. agreed that a short explanation with controls and how to play would be great!

I really like the effect on the cube enemies, gives a great vibe mixed with the dark

Amazing! my favorite part is the bridge, super creative!

yeah like others have said, interesting idea. I think it's a little hard though to have to keep switching back and forth between the game and the instructions to know which color you're supposed to be currently targeting

Oh yeah definitely. More useful interface stuff was on my todo-list, but ran out of time. Playing with the FOV might be a good idea though, thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for playing! If you're getting a low frame rate on the web player, you should try the desktop versions, they perform much better

I think it's interesting to see what different interpretations of the theme people/games cluster around. I imagine the largest category is games that do something with color or chromatic aberration.

My game is a space sim about aberrations from your trajectory. The enemies are really good at predicting where you will be, so when they target you, unless you continually maneuver, you'll get hit.

awesome job, I think the visual style and muffled sounds are excellent! love seeing other people's takes on space sims

Lol no worries, looks like it works great! I love it, especially the reverse mode 😂

Thanks for uploading, but it seems like you might have uploaded a windows version 😅

Oh yeah that would be awesome, or even just a link to download it

12 out of 20, I literally can't stop. These are really well designed!

you got a linux or web build you could send me to try? I wanna play all the space games, and yours sounds interesting!

super charming! It sounds like there are actual quantum physics being simulated here?

I think the only things I didn't make were the background image and the font. Art is literally just colored polygons, but yeah that, music, sound fx are all mine. Was working on making my first shader for an energy shield mechanic, but had to cut back on scope

Thanks! yeah tons of things ended up getting cut, including more customization for controls, and some sort of target sight that showed better where you were aiming. But glad enjoyed!

This is super awesome for an engine you made yourself!

This is just oozing with character, awesome job! Love the aesthetic, music, and all the little details like birds!

even if unfinished, this is actually pretty excellent. I feel like this could totally be expanded into a spooky dungeon crawl adventure. It has soo much character already like how the character walks, the camera watching you. I like how you're really forced to go at the slower pace, rather than just being able to  impatiently sprint through like most games would let you

honestly a pretty short and sweet pivot from overscope, and the intro feels very cinematic!. I think the flight physics actually feel pretty top notch, what tutorial/resource did you follow?

Love it! flying around in space is so much fun, and I love that you have interiors that you can walk around in and interact with

not sure I understand how the rules work, are you just trying to make words by clicking certain letters, what makes some letters changeable while others are not?

I like the concept of trying to prevent disasters, though it's a bit hard to play on a touchpad. I think there's definitely a kernel of fun to be explored perhaps with different mechanics

not sure I follow the objective, but the atmosphere is pretty nice. A game about trying to scare people in a foggy woods could be pretty cool if fleshed out more!

stuck on linux, so can't actually give it a try, but I love the aesthetic in the screenshots! Is that some sort of custom shader effect for the grain?

doesn't work on firefox, but works great in chromium. great polish, definitely hits that retro vibe! I think the idea of switching between different allowed actions is pretty interesting
