What do you like about your game?
The amount of time and sweat I dedicated into this quite complex and out of scope idea :) Also I like the idea itself and potential it has

Really enjoyed it, got confused when I realized the items I was grabbing was using my money. Also really hard to tell what card I am using and what it does when you have a lot of cards.

Really nice. I like games with simple loops like this.

  • It’s hard to figure out that you have to ‘buy’ items that you grab. Something like disabling the grab button/adding a tooltip, cash register sfx would all help
  • These composite conditions don’t appear consistent. It seems like it’s OR not AND. image.png

Pretty interesting concept. Definitely needs a timer on each item on the conveyor belt to keep to pace up and stop the player from reading the description every time. I don't think it's possible to lose when you have enough items unless you make a mistake, so time pressure would keep the rounds interesting. Really good overall!

This is a fun game with great presentation! The overall direction is very cohesive, and the art and sound are great. There's a bit lacking in variety of content, but the core idea here is original and a lot of fun. The controls were very clear, and the objectives started to stack up and become more complex which was a great bit of variety that added depth to the gameplay.

My last piece of constructive criticism was that the battles felt a little flat. I couldn't read my cards after I had collected a few, and I think a little bit of feedback after playing an action could go a long way to improving the fights.

Overall, this is a great submission! Awesome work!

I think this is a very solid proof of concept! Of course it's understandable you ran out of time, so I'm sure there's hundreds of ways you could improve this, add things and iterate on your ideas, like maybe some rounds with time limits to force you to make quick decisions or hiding the current approve/decline requirements after some time... many possibilities! Definitely a cool idea with a lot of potential :)

I like this take on the mundane based gameplay. I like how you implemented the deckbuilding element into the examination game, but I do feel once I got the money going the enemies became less and less threatening. This probably has to do with having to cut some scope, so I understand, but it would add more variety.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, I did have trouble and lack of time to balance out the game after all the mechanics were implemented, and the variety problem is something that I was afraid of. Thanks!

Love the concept! We had very similar takes on the theme. Loved the music and overall look of the game. The silliness of the monster felt cohesive and fit the vibe. Would like to see more monsters and variety as the days go on. Very solid entry! Congrats on the submission!

Thank you very much for your kind words! Yeah, I do agree that our takes on the theme and genre look similar, but your execution is superior in my opinion! :). I wish I had more time to create more silly enemies and balance out the game more interestingly, that's for sure!

I wouldn't say one is better than the other! I thought the simplicity of it added to the charm and gave the gameplay a "papers please" feel!

I love the aesthetics, sound, and the smoothness of animation! The gameplay is kinda chilling too but tukey stole me money :( . (Tukey cute tho)

Developer

Haha thanks :) I honestly didn't know which way to pivot more: to more challenging or kind of chill. Glad that you enjoyed it!

Fun idea, kinda like the classic papers please but on a conveyor, however it did get a little repetitive only looking for the same things. it could also be more aberrant by looking for mutations on the food and declining the ones with mutations.

Developer

Thanks! Mutations are a good idea, I thought about implementing it but unfortunately ran out of time and it was out of scope :(
