I wanted to try it but for some reason the mouse cursor dissappears in the main menu screen and I can't manage to start the game. I comment this in case you see it and maybe tell me how to start.. I didn't rate, still hoping I can try it, it looks nice :)

You play using either the arrow keys or WASD - enter is to confirm your selection :)
Hope this helps and you enjoy the game!

Why do I feel so hungry all of a sudden?

Congratulations on your first published game, that is no small achievement. It has something of a tutorial about it. You explore a small town before you go out into the big open world. I like that.

I've made a few observations. Most of them are nit-picky, but a bit of feedback might be helpful for future projects. Or at least for the ones with no looming deadlines ...

-It would be great if dialogues could be advanced with the down (or s) key. I always fast-forward the text for faster reading and kept accidentally selecting options from the dialogue level.

-Some of the tree roots are in front of the character if you get too close.
- I had a few problems with the shopkeeper's dialogue. Some text overlapped and it became difficult to read.
-The shopkeeper kept "stealing" my items  - whilst paying for them. It's quite funny, but maybe you want to change the word "stole" in this context.

-I don't mind swearing, but it felt like it came out of nowhere in this game. But then again, that might have been on purpose. It's not really a problem anyway. Just something I noticed.

It sounds like I didn't enjoy your game, but I did. These are all minor things (except for the overlapping texts). I hope you don't take all this as discouragement. I'd love to see you improve on aa already promising start. The choice of your backgrounds, portraits and sprites is very fitting. Gives the game this chill atmosphere (at least for the most part ^^). And I like the characters. Very appropriate for a small town. The fact that Spud is based on Alphys is too sweet.

A really fun little game. Keep up the good work!

It's a good game, but I found some bugs when I talk to shop and when play that memory mini game, the music is so relaxing, I enjoyed playing it

I got soft locked at the bar buy/sell menu, potentially because I accidentally opened the main menu. I really liked the cozy atmosphere, good job on your first game!

Developer

didn't realise this was a bug but someone else had the same issue. Should be all fixed now!

Glad you enjoyed the game regardless :D

I love your art-style so much. The combination of pixeled characters and drawn sprites are really nice and the game has such a fun atmosphere. Good job!!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the characters haha!
Spud was actually loosely based on Alphys from Undertale :)

Whoop Whoop Chicken Soup!
