Good job! "Cozy" is really the best word to describe your game. ^^ I had fun walking through the gardens and talking to the inhabitants.

Congrats on your first game jam! I checked out both the first build as well as the patched version, in order to see all the characters (I couldn't reach some of them in the first build). Both the visuals and the dialogue fit the cozy mood really well!

This is a respectable first step in a journey of learning and improving, and I wish you the best with that! :D

Congratulations on finishing your first game jam! I hope you will continue to participate more and more, because learning and growing is what it's all about.

So I played the patched version, and the music really does add a lot to the experience. It makes the cute aspects of the visuals a lot cuter! Plus the dialogue is very entertaining, so that's definitely great.

Overall, I think this is a very nice, little, cozy game. I think you could work a bit more on the collision detection with the mouse, because often I had to click a lot of times before actually getting to interact with the things I wanted to interact with. Also, sometimes the dialogues would trigger again after moving at the end of a dialogue, so that could also be ironed out.

Nice work!

Thank you so much for taking the time to try my game out, and for the feedback and support!! Collision detection and dialogue triggers were definitely two of the things I struggled with the most when programming, but next time I'll pay some extra attention to making those features a bit more polished from the start. Thanks for the feedback!! Excited to try your game soon :)

This is a lovely looking prototype, congratulations!! Yeah, there is not much to do, although I can see the potential in this game. Well, wish you get those features added as you expect soon. Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to try it out and leave a comment!! It's definitely a very simple prototype, but on the plus side I definitely learned a lot in the process :)

First off: CONGRATS ON FINISHING YOUR FIRST GAME JAM!! This is a super cool game, a great foundation for making awesome exploration games in the future! I love the music, the look of the game, the little quests, and how you used sprinklers to block the objects!

Thank you so much for trying it out and for the kind words and support!! Can't wait to keep learning in many more game jams to come :))

"I Forgot Something!"

I've had that realisation too. Often 5 minutes before - or worse, 5 minutes after - a deadline. Very appropriate for a jam.

The idea of blocking some areas with sprinklers is absolutely fitting and cute. I really like the squirrel's dialogue too. If you still want to give the game some polish: I couldn't enter the screen in the far east. Nor the one with the squirrel and the acorn (after the water was turned off). A text box indicating that the water has stopped flowing would also be great.

Congratulations on your successful participation in your first jam. It's not so easy to create something presentable before the deadline. Glad to hear it wasn't your last ride. :)
