Is the game supposed to be that fast paced? It feels like you move at sanic speeds. Reminded me of playing some old game that wasn't designed for new hardware and ran too fast because of it.
Aside from that its pretty cool. Has nice atmosphere. Some small complaints:
no invert mouse option
the limit how far(or how little) you can look up and down feels weird especially in first person
the bats are annoying and disorienting when melee moves you forward so you go through them and lose track where they are and they get a bunch of free hits on you. Died to bats more than anything else.
Yes it is supposed to be so, hope it wasn't too fast to be okay. I think I will add mouse invert options. About view angles I was afraid it would stretch sprites too akwardly, especially in thirdperson camera, I did loose a bit restains for first person one, but it seems I could loose it more in the future. Not sure for now how to fix melee problems in first person, without loosing its mobility, but I will think it through. Thank you for feedback!
This is cool. I really like the visual style. I think it would be nice if PP filled up when you returned to camp. I would also like to transition between the tower and camp without having to go back to the title screen - but I'm sure that's something you already noticed and am working on.
The first person camera was a lot of fun but I also found it disorienting at times. When playing the Fighter, attacking moves you a few steps forward so it was very easy to lose track of my surroundings in the more difficult encounters. The fire mages were the hardest enemy I came across. Much easier in third person than first - because attacking them at melee range sometimes pushed me too far ahead and I could no longer see their tell.
The environment looks great though. I love the atmosphere. Can't wait to see more.
Thank you for playing and feedback! I put on the list tower transition, and will think about how to make resources interaction between transitions. In theory minimap could help with orientation, but not much. I will think later how to improve first person melee combat.
Comments
runs too fast on 144hz monitor. add a windowed option. edit: fixed itself after entering the tower. edit #2: unfixed itself after entering floor 2
A fun game. I found first person camera nicer.
Fast pace and variety of levels keeps the game fresh.

Cool weapons. Pretty difficult but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
