Nice work! Very atmospheric and the story adds a lot. Cool puzzles. I would have liked to see where we end up after exiting the door. Also, how did you upload web and download files? I could only upload downloads as external once I selected web.

Great game. Pretty fun and scary. Enjoyed the sound effects. Great job.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing. Really grabs your attention. I do wish it was easier to restart the game. I wanted to change my upgrade strategy after a few levels. The origami aspect is really interesting and I love how much thought went into the characters and the paper animations. Nice job! Thanks for the review. I tried to challenge myself and do something new for this jam. Thanks for playing!

Somewhat unsettling. Loved the blinking sound effects. I did enjoy playing it. I like that I got to rate other creatures. Great concept. I would've liked to see who got first and maybe a little explanation by the judges. Great job!

Thank you for the review. I do think more complex interactions would be fun as well. I’ll keep it in mind if I make another text adventure.

Really nice music and art! I like how the window for attack/dodge/block visibly changes to show you the effect of the item. The game is quite difficult when starting off. I would suggest giving the player a weaker opponent at first. Nice job!

Great sound effects and art! Game was a bit short. I would like to be able to feed a carrot to Death. Nice job. If you want to check out my submission: https://itch.io/jam/mini-jam-161-style/rate/2786597

Very engaging and well polished. The timer mechanic adds a sense of urgency which makes this particular style of gameplay for fun, by requiring you to come up with a strategy that fits inside the time limit. I would like if there was a pause button so I don't have to keep dying if I step away for a minute. The game itself adheres to the theme via the parallel floors. Nice job!

Thank you for the rating. I also think the game would benefit from these features. Maybe in a post jam update

i really enjoyed this. keeps your attention hooked, making you want to play round after round to impress the judges. the artwork was well done too. wonderful concept and game!

cozy vibes, cool music. i enjoyed playing quite a lot but became a bit mundane.  i would like to see the limitation used a bit more. otherwise, solid game! If you want to play my submission: https://itch.io/jam/mini-jam-161-style/rate/2786597

cohesive style, great artwork. would like if there was something i could do when i run out of color. if you want to play my submission: https://itch.io/jam/mini-jam-161-style/rate/2786597

a real crowd pleaser indeed. great use of the limitation. particularly enjoyed the "you lose" sound. if you want to check out my submission: https://itch.io/jam/mini-jam-161-style/rate/2786597

I feel like my upgrade choices may have impacted my enjoyment of the game. I chose gun, bullets, boots. I didn't really get how you used the limitation. A bit clunky, but hey, it's a jam game. If you want to rate mine it's here: https://itch.io/jam/mini-jam-161-style/rate/2786597

The UI is a little confusing. Also I didn't get a lot of feedback as a player. I'm not sure if I completed the first trade and I couldn't try another customer. Overall a cool concept but maybe provide more detailed instructions.

update: i truly believe i am the best in the world at this game. just joking... but maybe lol.

63100! beat it...

thought you might want to know when you charge an attack but click left button while right is still held the regular attack stops working until you switch to another weapon and back

needs a boss fight though

this is so fun.

and the ability to shoot downward without falling through platforms

also a reload button

one thing that would be cool to add is the ability to lock your aim to a direction. i would like to be able to hold shift to keep aiming up while walking.

chrome

damn that boss is hard. super cool aesthetic and very punchy. needs some optimization. some stutter here and there.

love the design of the level. would like more pickup types.

Could you add the gamepad controls to the itch page please?

Game has a twitter now: https://twitter.com/TwoTiminTowers

:)

This is amazing. Pure genius.

You can press the wrench icon below the tower icons to cancel a placement, although that should be more obvious. Thanks for the feedback
