pretty good, much better without the timer

spikes are a bit too easy to collide with though

Thank you for testing and feedback. Its always helpful.

Quite neat, controls can be frustrating at times. Got stuck in a level since I couldn't jump on some blocks that were needed to get up.

Thank you for playing.

I generally like platformers like this. I played through it with 91 deaths.

  • First room was a bit odd with entering a door in the air but ok.
  • If you Powerjump into a corner you can get stuck in there. In most cases I managed to get unstuck again though
  • The controls feel quite unforgiving for a precision platformer, the levels are quite forgiving though since they are limited on one screen.
  • If spikes kill you they linger active for some time. In one level some were right near the start and if you died to them you could respawn and die again to them before they retracted again. In games like this I don´t want to wait for anything, I wanna go. That could possibly also go for the moving platforms not resetting their position on death, I like to one-cycle things. But the spike one is more annoying.

Time to play this.

- Requires Directplay. Oh, I went through this with a friend recently. According to them you can use it to reduce/eliminate this annoyance.  https://github.com/skyfloogle/gm8x_fix Apparantly it has to do with the online features. Still works when I hit Cancel.

- It took a bit to figure out what you wanted me to do in the first room. I didn't find it very intuitive because I find shift for run wierd.

- There doesn't seem to be any key rebinding to fix the awkward run key.

- Esc exits the whole game instead of bringing up a menu.

I can't deal with this level of difficulty with these awkward controls. It seems pretty good though! Keep up the good progress!
