I love nonograms! Looking forward to see later versions. Suggestions: -right click should place grays -add click sounds, maybe some music (not so important though) -color scheme settings -and of course, as others said, it needs pictures in those squares :)
Would love to see painting (dragging cursor affects multiple tiles in same row or column) and a one button shortcut for marking dead cells (right click would be best)
Edit: Ok after another round it'd be nice to have numbers go grey as you meet their requirements and to not have to fill in dead cells to check my work. Honestly just go check out PictoQuest. It's easy as hell, but it's smooth to play
Edit 2: Ran into a puzzle with multiple solutions, which was weird. I guess that's legal in nonograms? I know it's not for sudoku. All solutions are valid for finishing though

I love these requests. It shall be done.
Having the clues automatically grey out as you play is not a planned feature; I haven’t figured out a way yet to make that work in a way that preserves the fundamental reason for this game existing – that is, to have a nonogram game that can be solved ONLY logically, with no cheesing and no guessing and no hints.
Thank you for the feedback, and thank you for playing!
True, I guess if you're not doing 'strikes' then there's no way to penalize random marking. Although it's possible to meet the requirements of a row or column and still be wrong about it
Had to look up what a nonogram is. Ended up finishing one, pretty neat type of puzzle. One thing I would add is to mark the rows/columns where you already fulfill the requirement somehow. Maybe just make the numbers green or add a checkmark. Or red and add an X if something's wrong. Also I got confused when I checked the puzzle and it said I didn´t finish it, I didn´t realize I had to also fill in the other squares in grey. I think it would be fine to just leave them empty instead of having to fill them?
The challenge with indicating which rows and columns have been “completed” is that any “complete” sign would look like “this row is complete AND correct”, when in fact it may not be correct at all – it just happens to match the pattern indicated by that one row. I could work around that by using a more real-time checking system, but I don’t really want to go that route; it makes it too easy to cheese the puzzle by making guesses.
I’m definitely going to implement your idea about leaving dead cells unfilled. There’s really no reason why the player should have to mark each one.
Hmm, that´s true. Maybe you could add something so the players themself have to mark the row/column as finished. The player can then decide themselves how they want to use it and it should be easy to implement and requires no checking or logic.

Oh nice, I've been into nonograms recently

Btw 100x100 absolutely busts the program lol

This is actually pretty tough. If I can figure out how to play properly I might use it as a palette cleanser/time killer like solitaire.
That’s sort of the target use-case of a game like this, yeah! Thanks for playing anon
Godot games are real!
