Each demo day submission page has a kind of permanency to it too. That's where I've been giving feedback.

Setting the game to private and public again could lose all the feedback. It happened to me some time ago and there's no way to recover the comments.

people from 4chan are reluctant to post because they can't do so anonymously, and a quote feature of some sort could be nice

But aren't they uploading games non-anonymously? Or is this people want to talk who don't have a game?

I thought about quoting, wasn't sure how important it was with being able to directly reply.

You can format text like a quote by selecting the quote option in the formatting menu, but maybe just a button to insert form an existing post?

Yeah, but 4chan as a community thrives on anonymity, so if they say something particularly crucial or controversial they don't have to live with the stigma attached to their identity. It's not looking like they're too interested in using the itch.io community much to begin with though so it's probably not a big deal.
