Here are my raw notes, obviously didn't follow all of them:
## Original
[reference](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpiVAQcptKg&ab_channel=CloudDrop)
- high note riffs
- Major ish key
- driven beat
- strong beat transitions (1-2-3-4)
- Funky
- wah
- guitar harmonies
- "whoa"
- semi-complex key changes
- lots of 4-bar chord changes (usually in key)
- guitar solo?
- strings and organ?
- i doubt that axl low is not a reference to axl rose...
## New
- instruments
- piano
- strings
- he's an adventurous type
- kind of get a zelda/mgalaxy feel going with strings
- piano to keep it gentle and kind
- but gotta be rockin' too,
- he's a timetraveler???
- get some skip sounds in there for transitions?
- but try to be subtle with these if at all, game music is pretty organic

Impeccable sound quality for the most part, though I felt the high tones got a little bit crowded around 1:30. On my first listen, I felt the transition at 0:15 was a little abrupt, on subsequent listens it makes more sense, but perhaps a drum fill could've helped lead the listener to the next section? 0:48 felt a little abrupt as well. That said, you really nail the feel of GG's soundtrack and have an awesome song overall. Great job!
Thank you for the thoughts! I also think it’s crowded at the 1:30, but was time limited. A lot of things would have wanted to address with more time (basically all of which you said!)
Oh, that's a cool one, nice chonky riffs and overall vibe.
However, I find it a rather strange decision that lead guitar is quieter than rhythm, I'd expect it to be the main focus when solo comes up.
Also arrangement seem a bit too busy at times, especially 1:20~1:40 and in the beginning. It's not that there's something wrong with that, but it just means you need to commit to a lot of mix/master work to get enough clarity - which is especially difficult because just submitting stuff to soundcloud can sometime mess with your levels :D
Other than that, solid track :)
thank you for the feedback! I also agree I think it’s way too busy but I was on a time limit. Partly why the lead didn’t get its due spotlight, trying to balance the following section. Should have just removed parts instead.
Can definitely hear what you mean about needing the right samples 😅this rocks! Feels like a super natural inclusion in the existing soundtrack. I especially love the contrast with the acoustic guitar at 1min
