too dark, I understand the reason but is a little tiring to play like that, the narrative was really well put and it has very nice animations like the door opening, well done !

Sweet game. I enjoyed seeing the glass monsters break. I was worried about if I didn't know how to break them but watching them chase you and fall over tall areas was pretty cool! Game was a little dark for me. I think it seemed you darkened the image to simulate that there weren't any lights around but that made it hard to see things. I could not see the sewer and had to strain my eyes for the speech bubbles. I think having UI elements like the speech bubble coloured normally would have been good as they're not part of the game world and makes the game more accessible for people who have poor eyesight. Also it was hard for me to see on my monitor too and I had to get pretty close to read them. I think when you want to portray a dark room, while darkening the colours like you did works, you should also add some contrast . Darkening it the way you did made a lot of the colours on the same saturation and that makes it hard to distinguish objects. But having darker shadows to outline where objects are and different levels of saturation can help make your game still look dark but also easier on the player. I also really liked the detail you put into the TV. Thought that animation was good and gave me context as to what was going on in your world! Nice work!
thanks! Someone already told me of it being way too dark, I'm thinking of making an option to make it less dark, like down to 50% (i used game maker's light tutorial and it has 80% darkness as default), i think i can make the speech bubbles not be dark, but since i didn't have time to learn, the TV is a sprite with animation, so it's speech bubbles are inside the animation, maybe i change how it's made or something but i think it will take long because of the bad code i had to do because of the time
A deep storyline for any indie game is a massive task and perhaps recommended to mostly be avoided, unless you can really put hours into the story. Nice little game here with cool visuals!
I know it's supposed to be dark, but I could barely see anything at all. Also the speech bubbles were so small I literally couldn't read some of them. I managed to make it to the end, but it was through a lot of trying around, since noone told me I could climb (I think).
maybe my monitor was brighter? For me all speech bubbles were readable, i was making the end with almost no time so i couldn't make the dialog saying there was a ladder in the end, I'll update the game to make it a bit brighter someday i think, there's a lot of things we wanted to add but didn't have time
