  • The environment design was very ambitious! Great work adding so much detail in such little time. There is still a lot of greyboxing which impacted the 'completeness' score. I also had an issue where it looks like my life drain occurred during the opening cinematic, which prompted me to restart a few times until I found that first potion. Artwork within the cinematic is gorgeous, and accompanied with the sound & narrative helps to build a cohesive world. Gameplay-wise: the character control is well done. The first person feel & use of the sword would extend well into VR :). The end state of killing all zombies wasn't established well. I thought I was looking for a special cure, given what was added in the narrative. At first I couldn't recognize the theme of 'great power, great responsibility', but I see now how you incorporated that into the game mechanic with the health management & powerful draining attack. Great interpretation! All round, very good game.
  • I really liked the intro of your game. The art was wonderful and it clearly set the scene for the game. The gameplay was straight-forward and I liked that the Jam theme was core to the gameplay. I ran into a minor bug where a zombie bumped me into a place I could not get out of.
  • Excellent sound design. Wish the 2d character images had made it into the game. Also really hard to find my way around, and finally the bugs surrounding the super ability made the game feel incomplete. But the concept is really fresh and innovative.
  • Love the implementation of the theme and the story setup! I think there should be more visual feedback on whether or not you have successfully attacked an enemy, especially when doing a melee attack because it is hard to see the distance of the attack range using the first person perspective. A better indication on whether or not you are closer to reaching the goal would be a good addition to this game, such as a simple UI counter that counts down how many enemies are left. The scope of the game was very well understood, which allowed you to make a very detailed game with a lot of attention to the level design. I think you have a game you can be proud of. I loved the art, the concept, the well executed mechanics and the music. Great job :)
  • Fun idea, and great that you made a full map! A shame you weren't able to get all the assets in (zombies / killshots / etc.) . It seems like you were on the brink of really digging in to some of the mechanical implications on movement / knockback types, so great work in striking a solid foundation with real promise!

It was one of the most smooth game today and i loved the fact that you hp goes down, making it little difficult! Also I'm looking forward to new zombies!

great game wish there wasn't a cool down with the sword and getting the special ability to destroy the game objects properly. Defeated all the enemies but ending didn't come

Thanks! We added the cool down to kinda "nerf" the sword and that special abilities "feature" was my bad :( I'm sure if we did more testing we could balance things so the sword wouldn't have to have the cool down. If you destroy all the enemies with the sword it should reveal the ending properly. Hope you enjoyed otherwise :)
