Elevator pitch
Do you hate fun and love misery? You will enjoy the awesome world of text-based adventure games.

Describe how your game adheres to the theme
This is a spiritual successor to Gone Home that, if we'd gotten an earlier start, would have had some Doom/Eryx influences shine through as well.

Hopefully the 'depressed kid comes home' theme is nice and strong.

I got lost in this one, wasn't really sure what to do beyond looking at a locked door and wondering why it was still locked after I used the key on it.

I liked the humour in some of the silly interactions I was trying in it, however.

Fair.

I love fun and don't care much for misery, unless it's someone else's. This game is super short. I can't even say I had a bad time, it's only two screens long. I played it twice to make sure. Why is the download so big?

Developer

Comes packed with its own Java runtime environment so it can run out-of-the-box on Windows.

I could provide a separate download that's just the jar, for people who already have Java installed, but I was trying to play it safe by the jam rules

Smart thinking.
