Kind of trippy but kind of fun too. I like the swinging axe mechanic and transforming into a raging bull is a blast (though soon after doing this my Mac switched over to Desktop2 - maybe an overlap of controls with those of Mac OS). Intro TV sequence works very well. Nice job.

Developer

I didn't take into account other control schemes, but I will have to remember for the future that making universal controls (or at least allow remapping) is key for maximum immersion - thanks for the thought, appreciate it!

I'm not sure if this look was intended or incidental, but man does it look astonishing! :D

Developer

I player around with some variations on the style, but ended up using an incidental mix / acceptable bare minimum, so I'd say the answer is both 😁

Thanks for dropping in!

I like how satisfying it feels to smash several skulls at once! Healing mechanic turned out to be a double edged sword though - sometimes I really needed that health back, but returns were too generous and made the game too forgiving.

In short, skulls weren't as punishing as Hades's puns .

Developer(+1)

Maybe the skulls are not the punishment, but rather the puns?  πŸ˜

I wanted to go for an all or nothing gameplay style which forces the player to be on their legs all the time, but balancing is something you can keep perfecting into infinity... Anyway, thanks for trying the game out and for the feedback!

It’s fun!

Love the humour and references you put in it.

The intro with the TV was brilliant!

I felt that there was not much of a challenge though, but the commercial breaks where very funny.

Good job, and hope your exams went well.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The exam went well, I mostly glad to be done with it πŸ˜…

I realize that it is quite easy to figure a strategy which makes the game substantially easier, but I made the game with my non-gamer friends and family in mind.

Neat concept with some solid gameplay, (and funny dialogue) some extra juice on the combat would be a great final touch :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words! I really wanted to add more to the combat with more fleshed out buffs and debuffs, but unfortunately ended up scraping that idea - exams won't write themselves πŸ˜₯

They sound like great ideas, you can defo add them in a post-jam version for sure!

Bruh , is this parody to newly released 'Hades'  with the flying skull and all haha. Overall the gameplay is pretty straightforward and enjoyable. I really hope for for the control to be mouse left click and right click instead of ctrl and shift,  it'll make the game easier to play imo.

I've been so caught up with work and school lately, that I haven't had much of a chance to get to know the games that came out lately, but maybe my subconscious did get influenced by it ;)

Personally, I prefer using my left hand for skills while the other is for movement, but I need to remember that not everyone has the same preferences. I'll keep that in mind on my next gamedev run, thanks!
