The first few levels are really satisfying. They hooked me into this game. The level design is nicely done and the mechanics were (mostly) simple to follow. I think the "undo" block is the one thing I would nix, personally, but the gravity mechanics were neat. Love the lighting effects and overall ambience as well.

Perfect entry. Game is fun, fits the theme pretty well (so far, it's the only game I've seen where combining can be good or bad), very intuitive (I didn't have to read any instructions apart from the controls which show up on the screen. All the boxes did what I expected), the sprites look perfect for that type of game. There's always room for improvement, but I think this game could be released with very little touch ups and more levels. If you plan on making a level editor, make it available for players.

Thank you! We tried our best to make the game feel complete, so I'm really happy that people appreciate this! :)

I really liked this game :) Also, building fun levels is time consuming so all the more impressive that in addition to the idea, game and animations you also came up with fun levels!

Thank you! Yeah, building levels takes a lot of time :D All these levels were first drawn on paper.

I enjoyed how you introduced the properties of each of the box types, each of the levels seemed really thought out. The puzzles were fun, and I liked the "choose wisely" at the end. The level select menu was nice, and the physics functioned well even when I tried wedging boxes in doors and on moving platforms.

Thank you! Yeah, we put a lot of efforts into physics and level design, and it is very nice to see that it paid off. I'm very glad you liked it!

Like Braid, game rewind for a short duration would be great when stuck.

Nice game!

This game is amazing!!!! I really like it.

Did you write all levels by hand?

Developer

Well, yeah? Generating is impossible here (well it is possible, but levels won't be interesting). Creating level editor + level format can also take much longer that just writing them by hand.

You should take a look at my crate https://crates.io/crates/bevy-yoleck. It takes care of the level format (you just need to provide types with Serde's derives) and provides utilities for easily(ish) adding the editing capabilities.

I will take a look. I think we will make specialized level editor in future if we will decide to continue developing this game. Will see
