Very impressive for 10 days.
Impressive game so far. I love playing portals back in the old days with my gf and you get a lot of the basic concepts running. Do you have plans to continue this after the jam?
It's a shame it's so buggy. I noclipped a few times and it was a struggle to get the button to be pressed. I like the aesthetic though
Yeah, I have to agree with you that noclipping was definitely the most annoying bug when playtesting and I was really hoping to find some time to fix/mitigate it, but that was difficult in the time we had left. I'll definitely look into what caused it (got a little idea what that is) and watch for it next time.
Thank you for playing :)
It's a shame you guys weren't able to finish something for the jam, because this is still really impressive. At one point I was able to clip through the elevator door at the end and place one portal inside and one portal outside. I'm not sure why I thought that was so cool but it does make me wonder why more games don't utilize the portal mechanic. I hope you are able to make something more out of this idea in the future!
Very impressive getting portals working as well as they do in such a short jam, just a shame you didn't get to implement too many of your ideas with the theming, would have been really cool to see different portal effects combining! I had a lot of fun just exploring the levels you have, as well as clipping outside the chambers and checking out the level design! Hopefully you manage to finish the game off after the jam as it's a pretty neat concept.
very cool idea,
it would be nice if an open portal had a glowing field around it so that we would know it is a portal and not a pathway.
uh oh dev. good effort
Congrats, that's one I actually didn't get to see live. I think I see how that happened, did you try to grab a physics cube you throwed ? That would explain the query does not match error, I re-added those last minute as a mitigation for the actual physics props being unstable but they don't have exactly the same components :')
This is a great start and has potential. Really impressive to get the portals working. Wish there were more unique mechanics, looking forward to see that combination thing in the future! :)
