I liked the tiles and placing them. The art is very good too.
I liked the tabletop style of the game. Reminded me of placing Settlers of Catan pieces. Was fun just to place some tiles. I only wish I had a song to listen to while I tried to corral some cows!
I like the presentation a lot. The zooming in and out towards the board works really well, and the graphics reminds me of those rare cool tactile minigames you see in Mario Party, which I always wished were made into full games. It's cool to see an upgraded version of that "draw a box around a region on a dotted piece of paper to get points for each full box" game which I used to play a lot with my mom as a kid. I tried it solo but it seems like it'd be fun to play with multiple players for sure, seems like there's lots of strategizing to be had.
Thank you very much! I probably spent too much time making the presentation smooth instead of working on making an AI opponent! I used to play the paper/box game as well! I never thought of the similarity. In fact, my game is heavily influenced by the great board game, Carcasonne. If you've not tried that, I recommend it highly. Thanks again for taking time to try my game! :D
Just a note to say that I don't think this aligns to all the rules of the jam very well. In particular, the rule "Single player only" which I didn't really take in. I had meant to add AI opponents which would have effectively made the game single player, but I ran out of time to implement it. Good luck everyone!
