How does your game represent Mode?
This game incorporates "Mode" in its core gameplay loop. The player must select the correct dance mode before bumping into an NPC to have them join the player to keep the party going before time runs out!

Fun, but sorta hard to tell what dance move lines up with the npc
Sorry. Are you mad at me?
no? Game is fun, just a bit hard
An alternate universe where I'm talented and popular on the dance floor!
It's a masterpiece! 🍾
Are we human
Or are we dancer?
My fun was vital
The moves were cold
Hahaha had a good laugh with this one! Trying to interpret who was doing what dance was a funny challenge. I wasn't sure about the controls at first but I started to get the feel after a while. You have to spot your target and make your judgment on what dance to pick fast and commit to the trajectory early.
Overall I liked where it was going, but I had a bit of trouble playing because my computer just did not want to run it smoothly. This isn't the first time I've seen this kind of performance issue so I think it might be my PC more than the game itself. Still, I thought it was a pretty cool game.
Thanks for bringing that up! That’s good to know regardless if it’s your end or our end. Thanks for playing! :)
I've laughed a lot with this game. It was a bit challenging at first to distinguish between the different dances, but once you recognize them, it's a lot of fun!
Pretty funny but quite difficult! Would prefer each dance move also be mapped to a single button each and maybe bouncers a bit easier to spot. You notice them once you get used to the game, but from the onset its pretty tricky. Me and my bro played, highest scorer 13
I like the dances, and dunkey in the background. I also had fun trying to collect the right dancers and laughed at the crashing ragdoll effects!
i like the funny dance
left a comment on the game page too. more seriously, this is actually kind of a unique mechanic, having to recognize whether colliding with something will extend your combo or count towards ending your streak not by anything as obvious as size, shape, or color, but by something trickier to judge from far away, like animation. (I could generally recognize people doing chicken dance or YMCA, and anything that wasn't one of those I tried to steer away since I was never confident someone was doing hip-hop mode)
Interesting concept and great representation of mode! The ragdoll and sounds were really funny.
Great concept, going to have to echo the complaints about distinguishing the dance moves and the turning being slightly too slow
PS. don't go into the fellas bathroom of the lobby mode, worst mistake of my life
The dances were funny, I liked the video of the dancing guy that plays even when you pause. I think the concept could work with a little more visual clarity, it was hard to distinguish dances as well as tell who was a guard or not. Lobby mode was insane... ;)
A really original idea... its snake except you have a timer, have to be in the right dance "mode" to get bigger and have to dodge security? Sounds crazy for a game but it worked! The entire game (and the lobby mode) felt like a fever dream. The controls were a bit hard to get used to as turns were not easy to make. Overall great execution!
hey glad I wasn't the only one to recognize this as a variation on snake
Wild Idea. I like it :)
this was really tricky to get the hang of! for me it was really hard to recognize which dance an npc was doing - and it was even harder to navigate towards an npc whose dance i did recognize - though that might just be a skill issue on my part. the animations are very, very well made though! all of the different dance moves look incredibly natural and realistic. the music was really nice, too! also, i’m not entirely sure what the point of lobby mode is, and i’m a little afraid, lol. good work!
Fun Game! I liked being able to build up my conga line and the ramping speed was not too disorienting. I think it would help if the turning was a little sharper though. Hanging out in the lobby was my favorite part 😏
This was fun! I enjoyed the difficulty progression as it sped up the more dances that you got right. Overall it gave me an old-school Tony Hawk meet Snake vibe, which was fun to experience. Feedback-wise, there were no controls listed and the objective wasn't stated, so it took a little too long to figure out what I was supposed to do and I didn't even realize you could change your character's dance until a few rounds in when I accidentally clicked the mouse. But, once I figured it out I enjoyed the experience. Throw in a little more variety and some different levels and there could be some good potential here. Nice job!
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, we were running out of time and this was our first game in Unreal Engine, so if we couldn't spare any more hours working on instructions, which we now know is a crucial part of the gameplay experience. Thanks for playing!
Love when you start to gain speed and then have to quickly panic and change dance modes lol. I had a few times where on start, a security guard would spawn on top or right in front of me that led to an immediate game over though.
Yeah, we tried fixing that bug a few hours before we submitted and decided to scrap last second just so we could make the deadline. haha. But I'm glad you enjoyed the panic! That's what we were aiming for!
I love those flying people on the dance floor :D Such a fun game after the undertand how the play. I wished security guys in a different color like yellow or red.
Yes, due to time restraints there's a lot we would have changed about the final game, one of them being your suggestion, it is indeed difficult to spot security guards, but glad you figured it out and had a quick, fun time with it. :)
