solid foundation but wall jumping really frustrating. Not great visual clarity in general

Fun little platformer that could use some work, but has some solid bones! The speed sliding mechanic is really cool, just needs some momentum when the player jumps to really give it a kick. If you ever plan on trying to flesh this out after the jam, I'd also recommend giving the player the ability to look down to move the camera down a bit. The section with the electric floors right below you was cool, but a bit too based around trial-and-error. Otherwise, great start to a 2D platformer!

Thanks for the feedback! This was actually my first time doing pixel art for a game!

The game looks good.  However at least for me the wall jumping does not feel great with a keyboard, and since I had to keep doing that to get past the very first part, I ended up dropping this one pretty quickly.  I think the physics or timing around that needs to be adjusted a bit.  For an example to copy, Dead Cells (after a certain upgrade) and I think Super Meat Boy have good wall jumping mechanics.  Or Titanfall but that's 3D lol, but if you can make it feel as good as Titanfall you will have won.

Thanks for sharing and good luck on the jam!

Thanks so much for the feedback! I completely agree. This is our first game outside of tutorials and our first jam so we couldn't quite nail the mechanics we wanted. With a little more knowledge I'm sure we will tune it properly. Thanks for trying it out!
