The concept seems like it could go somewhere, unfortunately though it's relatively simple and the enemies are a little janky. Plus there's a ton of feedback missing which removes a lot of the punch to your actions. Some finer points of feedback though:
- There seems to be an abundance of invisible walls throughout the map and the tutorial. Which while being invisible, when you find them incredibly restrict the actual area you can move in. As well as artificially increasing the distance you have to go to get to the portals.
- The hit detection, specifically on the portals themselves with the knife is a little weird and hard to aim, it's hard to tell how it is on the enemies since there's no feedback on hit etc.
- Feedback is generally missing throughout. Your gun has a well down animation and muzzle flash, with no feedback sound wise etc. which really detracts from the experience. As well as feedback on enemies being hit, or on just enemies losing health etc. which makes it difficult to figure out how much it takes to kill an enemy.
- The lack of a reload button doesn't make much sense to me, since it generally just leads to forcing you into situations where you run out of ammo while fighting a horde and have to wait for the animation and then it leaves you at a disadvantage between fights.
- The actual models of the environment are decently well done if with some heavily stretched textures, the gun model specifically is well done and the enemies are textured well. Altogether though the scene kinda seems like a random set of assets... which is slightly weird based on the fact you said you modeled it + the reasoning given below for it being a "lack of time"?
Overall the base concept while not innovative could lead to something with a decent amount of polish, though I'm sorta surprised if you're generally a modeler why you didn't join a team?
It's a good looking game but lacks polish, like player feedback. The enemies should react if you shoot them.
Hey,
Really cute zombie game, and really good graphics.
Was just lacking sound effects and a little more juice to the game.
Cheers for finishing you game!!!
Fun experience xD the zombies look nice. The game does feel kind of unfinished with white spots where it looks like you can enter but you can't :P But overall good job :) keep up the good work :)
Well it was fun :D.Now my feedback would be that the gun desperatly needs a firing sound effect. When firing the gun it felt unresponsive becouse of that. Also like others pointed out the zombies and the scene dont fit too well.Other than that interesting take one the theme nice job :D
Very realistic graphjics, but as the other says, the enemies dont quite fit the scene, but otherwise great game.
great game amazing graphics but i put 4 stars for the visuals cuz the enemies dont fit the game.
also the game needs soundeffects but overall its AMAZING
