I played the HTML5 version. It worked fine with Windows/Chrome. I had a hard time distinguishing the tones, but I liked the 5 move constraint.

Making a gameboy game for blind people is a good idea 👍. Pressing  "enter" to have the different sounds help a lot to recognize the direction. It's become a bit complicated after the first level because "enter" give sounds very very fast but I could manage to finish 5 levels (almost 6).

Developer

UPDATE: the controls got updated, now "Enter" is how you can hear the sounds directions again, this is just the reminder sounds, not the hint sounds. hopefully that fixes most of the issue people were having.

Hey :), love the concept of an old Gameboy. I couldn't figure out how to play though, I'm playing on a Macbook and the controls weren't seeming to work, or maybe it was because there wasn't an immediate response to me pressing a button I thought it wasn't working.

I played the web/html5 version but I could not hear any difference in the tone before and after moving. I tried using Firefox and Chrome on Windows 11. Unfortunately I haven't got a Game Boy emulator installed. I'd be happy to give it another go when you update the game!

Developer

sorry, it's direction not distance. So up left down right. Unless thats what you meant. Only a few stages will you go from down to right. How far did you get?

Oh, I see! I could only finish the first two levels by luck earlier, now the first four, but unfortunately I already forgot which direction is which sound, I've been always bad at "Simon says" :D

press "shift" and it will beep 4 time. Up. Right down left. To remind you of the tomes.

Oh, so that's what "shift" is for! But... it does not do anything in my browser :( I tried in both Firefox and Chrome on Windows 11. Maybe adding the tones to the movements would help as that way the player should only repeat the pattern.

Same here!
I love the concept of a GB blind accessible game, but couldn't hear the audio clues on a browser!

sorry I thought I programmed "shift" but it was "enter" that is my bad. so I changed it. Press enter to hear the sounds again.
