I really liked the art comics, they gave a lot of character to the game, I might "borrow" this idea in the future :) I also liked the sound design. It took a while to get the hang of the mechanics but I could escape the virus. Great job, I hope your students keep working on games and we'll see more of their original concepts.

It is a fun concept and a nice puzzle, maybe different difficulties or adding 1-2 easier levels to get the hang of it would be nice, and a gauge-like display would help with the feedback of the drugs (which could broke on later levels to make them more difficult). But overall I liked it and I was really rooting for them to become stable!

Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed the swinging, even if the jumping was not that fun, maybe next summer!

Thanks! Next time I'll make a therapist simulator, stay tuned ;)

Thanks, I am happy you liked it!

Thank you, I am glad you liked it! :)

Thank you so much! I am working on an extended version, I will upload it as a separate game soon.

Thank you! Well, I just checked, the character is still okay and is on the swing again, no need to worry! :)

I love the art and the atmosphere of the game! The music is also a nice choice. I really liked that you can arrive at multiple platforms not just the topmost. It is a very polished game and one of my favorites so far :) Great job Paul and Clo!

Thank you, I am glad you liked it! I will change the camera behavior in the updated version, thanks for the feedback!

Thank yo so much, it really means a lot to me! :) And thanks for the feedback, I will change the scrolling in the updated version.

I loved your game too, it was my favorite I played in the jam with all the little details and mechanics, congrats for the 11th place!

Thank you, I'm happy you liked it.  I tried to guide the player to have a smaller chance of old and new parts interfering but wanted to make sure the old parts are still needed and also that there's plenty of space for them. Fixing old spaghetti is kind of the fun part - for a while at least but this is not a long game after all :)

Thank you, I am glad you liked it! Shapez and Factorio were a huge influence on it.

I tried to do a zoom out but it lead to a few issues with the cursor and building placement so I dropped it, maybe I'll make one version with bigger resolution, I'm not sure, but thanks for the comment!

Oof, the bug... I have uploaded a fixed version here if you'd like to give it another go (I will keep the jam version as it is): https://gheja.itch.io/boxez-latest

A really fun little arcade game, I liked to play it again and again though I wasn't really good at it so a lot of planets were lost. Sorry about that.

Great idea and surprisingly playable on this small resolution - with the scope, without it I couldn't really see a thing :D I really liked the timed parts, I felt the urgency and it added a lot. Opening the doors with a sniper rifle felt a bit excessive but you know the saying... if you have is a sniper rifle everything looks like a target.

Thank you so much for the kind words, it really means a lot to me! I am very happy you enjoyed it and I loved your game, too!

(I'm also playing Shapez 2 on the weekend, I have to, it's... research :D)

Haha, I also bought Shapez 2 as soon as it was available :D I played the first one and Factorio a lot, too! I might borrow a few more ideas from this one... :)

I loved the game! The sprites, the animations, the music and gameplay are all fantastic and nostalgic and (very importantly) they fit so nicely together. I think this is the perfect entry for the jam! Creating all of this in just two weeks is awesome and I am sure you need a rest now :)  (And huge thanks for the "Continue?" prompt and for not taking my quarter :D)

On the ground floor of the lighthouse I saw a red pixel above the two logs, it is blinking in a pattern of short/long/pause, I thought it must be a hint in Morse :D I just realized it was only a candle 😅 (But it still looks Morse code to me!)

This is such a nice cozy game in every way. I love the graphics and the palette you use, the music fits perfectly and the opening cinematic was also beautiful! Great work and I'm really happy I could play it :) (I just wonder what the red pixel tried to tell me. But don't give it away! Maybe others will find it out on their own.)

Thank you for the update, for playing it and the kind words :) Also, I am glad you could progress in the game!

I love how quickly it becomes chaotic :D It is a really fun and impressive game, I also loved the music and the variation of the planes. Also, I think I found a job that I should not take... :)

I think, the belt coming with the box should also go to the right, into the merger. If you had the belts going in other directions before it might be possible that a green paint is in the upper slot and the box should go to the bottom one (I wanted to add an indicator for occupied slots, I'll revisit this*), or that the paint is stuck somewhere in the middle, though I could not reproduce the issue (I will update it to have the component snap to a slot*)... Could you please start over and connect them in straight lines? I hope that solves the issue.

* I will keep the jam version as is and will post a separate game with the updates.

Thank you Fletch, I am happy you liked it! The merger needs the two parts from two different belts, it should merge them even if they would overlap. If you tried that way then please post a screenshot so I can try to find the problem.

Thank you, I am glad you liked it! Yes, there is a bug with that, I think I found the solution and will ask the game jam organizers if I can upload a fix for that. If not then I'll post a separate game. Thanks for reporting it!

Thank you! I am glad you liked it :)

Thanks, I am happy you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much for your feedback! The puppies are indeed easy to wake, they are ready for another round of play at any time!

I have an updated version where the dogs make a noise before waking up (you're still safe to step back from there) and you have footsteps. and hints where the door should be. Check it out if you'd like to give it another go :) Also, pressing "V" reveals the room, if you'd like to check it out.

Thanks so much for playing, I am happy you liked the snores, I had a lot of fun finding and editing the sounds :)

Hello! I really love your style, the little cute characters and all the objects around :) I made a LowRezJam entry back in August with it and people loved them, too! Check it out if you'd like!

Updated version: https://gheja.itch.io/busy-bun-buddies-latest

Thank you for these cute sprites, awesome work!

Thank you, I am happy you liked it!

Thanks for your feedback

Yes, unfortunately there is a problem on level 3 where you can just barely pass between the dogs, leaving the "maze" - I have fixed it but haven't uploaded it yet. The new version should be up today, as a separate game (I will keep the jam version as it was submitted).

I also added a hint on start of every level, saying in which corner the door is located.

I am thinking about how to implement the footsteps to not be too distracting but will probably include that as well in the next build.

Thanks for your feedback again, I am glad you liked it even with these issues :)

Thanks so much for your feedback! I am so happy you liked and you played all levels, those are great scores!

You're absolutely right about the alternative controls, I should have thought of that. I haven't used the template this year just copied the shader and the upscaling. Next year I'll be more careful with controls!

Thank you,I'm so glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the kind words :)

Haha, I intentionally placed the exit on the second level a bit to the left from the last "corridor between dogs", I hope it wasn't a too evil move :D

Thanks so much! I wanted to keep away from horror and jumpscare themes and to make something lighthearted (and hopefully fun) game instead. I'm glad you felt like toptoeing (if that's a word), that was my intention :) And I'm happy you liked it!

Unfortunately it is possible to have a snoring sound that's harder to hear. I tried to fix the volume and silent parts in the snoring sounds, they still need work. I'm thinking about adding a warning sound (a bump or some dog noise) a bit before waking them up.

Thanks! Don't worry, they don't mind another round of play time :) and they can get back to sleep quickly, too.

Thank you so much for your feedback, it is very useful!

I tried to normalize the sounds and cut them shorter (removing silence) to make them loop with mostly audible part but I agree, it still needs work. I also noticed (after submitting it) that adding a bump or dog sound a bit before waking them up as a warning would be nice.

I've been thinking about footsteps but was not sure if that would make it too "noisy" (as in too much happening at a time), but will rethink this!

There are no wall bumps just dogs all around :) and I promise all levels has a solution.

A kind of hint: when playing on keyboard or controller you move on a grid and you're not able to go from silence to waking up a dog in one step, there is always a step when you start hearing them and it is safe to be there and back up.

Thanks again, I am glad you played and liked it, I'll probably be here next year as well, but I can't promise anything :)

I really like the concept and most of the mechanics (I feel the FTL vibes :)), I see the immense effort in this game, but it is a bit hard to keep up with the events even with visuals and using a mouse (the list on the Cryo screen does not match the order in main screen, and it also covers the tabs, this threw me off several times). But I have finished with 139 crew remaining. I have increased the TTS speed to 2.1x but it is still reading out the stats of my actions from 6-7 minutes ago, unfortunately I'm not sure how playable would it be without seeing the screen.
