How did you/your team interpret the theme?
If we're not the hero, we must be the villain.
Or perhaps we're just an aspiring villain, dreaming about the day that we defeat all the superheroes.
How was your/your team's experience in this jam?
I really enjoyed building the random character generator, which pulls different body parts from a sprite sheet and layers them together to form something that looks like a person.
I think the silly characters make the game a lot more fun than it deserves to be and I spent a lot of time playing it just to see what they would look like.
If I had more time, I would add additional sprites to increase the variation in the characters. And I would spend some time developing a more interesting superpower system between the heroes and villains. Something that goes deeper than rock-paper-scissor mechanics.

It has a good concept and the art is good and the music. I just think it's too complicated and I never managed to win but instead always was defeated. D:
I really like the concept here, nice work! The randomized descriptions and character depictions are also pretty fantastic. Gameplay was also an interesting take on rock-paper-scissors mechanics.
However I do have a few issues:
Still, the game's pretty fun, and absolutely deserves a more expanded version.
Very good concept! Keep supporting it!
The concept is super cool, would love to see a full version with animations etc... love the art and the music too !
I love this concept! Would be nice to see an updated version with more randomized backgrounds/descriptions. You did a great job on the portrait randomization!
There is so much potential here! I absolutely loved the concept. I would love to see this developed further with more mechanics and scenarios. Really nice work!
Very unique game! Some of the bios and descriptions were pretty funny, I see a lot of potential there for a lot of good humor.
It can be hard to tell what directly counters what. In theory, the mind control description seems like it would just win any fight, since there seems to be no limitations on its "difficulty" to use. I think having more in-depth descriptions would help with understanding what something really does, and what is needed to counter it.
There is a lot of potential here for a full game like this. Having more complex mechanics eventually, maybe like multiple hero's to take out, or even getting 2 of a certain power with your villain's can make a combo.
The art is very nice! Reminds me of papers please. Audio is also good, but im not sure if it fits the theme / gameplay of the game so much.
I like the idea, music and artstyle, but as it stands the gameplay is too simple. Still great work tho.
I like this idea a lot. It seems like a good foundation for the real game. Humor is nice as well. I enjoyed reading descriptions and played multiple rounds just to read more.
Hey Dmitry, I'm really glad you enjoyed the descriptions. They're one of my favourite parts as well and I plan on adding more soon. Thanks for playing!
