Nice pixel art and level design, and to top it off a suiting and well done music. The controlls feel kinda clunky, but this can be fixed by applying a slippery physics material to the tilemap. I think channel Brakeys on Youtube covered this in his 2D movement video, so you could check this out if you want to make it as responsive as you can. Other than that a very good game, good job!

Thenks for your comment!

I will check it out for sure!

Thanks for playing and feedback!

Controls being unclear is a sideeffect of game having many mechanisc (moving, attacking, spells and upgrade system). I am planing on improving this by adding a pause button which in addition of letting you plause the game will display all the controlls.

Where it comes to helping players react to enemies, I figured that since they always come from the same spots, are easly distinguishable and have predictable attack patterns it won't really be a problem. I might try to fix this by adding them a half second down time after spawning, but I think it might make the game too easy. I don't want to add more walls to the map, since it may broke some of the spells as they currently work.

The UI and map were made by Rudydzik and characters were made by Alternative.Paper. They clearly had different visions of how the game should look like and weren't communicating that much. On top of that it was their first experience with pixel are so they wanted to experiment and I didn't wanted to discourage it.

The UI works only under 1920x1080. I didn't knew how to scale it properly, so I made it work under what I thought to be the most popular resolution. I do plan to return to it, but I clearly need to educate myself on how Unity scales UI.

I really enjoyed this zelda-like advenure! The art is cute and the game doesn't stop suprising you with new things. The only thing I can complain about is the dodge mechanic - it seems useless, doesn't even meke you invinvible. You can just spam space and kill most enemies, so what is even point of it? But overall I liked it, well done!

This game looks really beautiful, but as much confusing. I dont' get what the termometer at the left is for, why my heroes sometimes don't want to drink potions or what the 2 buttons at the top do.

Beautiful are and nice music. I have some critique for the gameplay tho. First off the abilities being almost compltely random is a bad idea in my opinion. On my first playthrough I lost all my AP quite quickly and wasn't able to do much. Also adding a small sound clue when your turn starts would have been nice. At first I didn't realize that the text in the middle signals when you can attack and was kinda confused. Still really nice work!

Simple, challenging and so fun!

Enjoyed it quite a bit! Nicely done!

Cool concept and nice art. The gameplay is quite chaotic, but ultimately I enjoyed being thrown around like a ping pong ball.

Glad you liked it!

Thanks for your idea!

After some playtesting we found ourselves barely using Forcefield and Magic Missile spells. We were initially thinking about buffing them, or making them scale better with magic stat, but cutting them out entierly is a better idea when I think about it! We will test this out.

Cool game that needs a little bit of tweaking and polish to make is really good. I am talking about little technical chiccups, like mages spawning is such a way that their projectiles get stuck in the wall or enemies "charging" at you while not moving at all. You should also add a sound or other type of feedback when you are being hit or hit someone.

I like the art and the idea of playing as coward whos only option is to run away from danger. I also love level design with coins hidden all over the place. The only things I can really complain about is that the game was quite too easy, by my standards at least. Good job!

I like the pixel are and music, the gameplay is simple but works good. I found a bug where I wasn't able to click play in the main menu, the game just wouldn't start, but after I waited a little it worked again.

Cool idea, nice graphics, could use a little more sound. Alos questing in my opinion was kinda redundant becouse I was adle to get more then enough money by fighting other parties.

Cool idea and pretty nice execution, but I feel like the models should be more detailed to make a game like this work. How do I tell a male from female for example?

I love idea of playing as a mimic! Also you can get soft locked on fourth level if you don't move when the hero stands on the button.

As always, thanks for leaving a comment!

We made a huge deal of making our game as balanced as it can while retaning the hecticness, so I am happy it worked for you. We needed to cut many ideas, like, for example, that enemies were able to level up at one point of development, but no matter how we balamced it either the mages or swordsmen ended up too strong at some point.

I am right now working on update that will add suggestions from this comment section, so let me add damage feedback to the list.

And for the art, I am also happy it turned out readable for you. Our artists are open to suggestions and critique and would be glad if you could elaborate on how they can improve!

Yeah, that was something I tried and failed to fix. I don't really know how UI scaling works in unity, especially for this kind of hud. Still thanks for playing and feedback!

Thanks for sharing your opinion!

I am aware that stat system might be unintuitive for new players, but at the same time understanding it was designed to be a big part of learning how to play, so I don't really know how I could improve it.

I am also pretty sure that our artists will appreciate your advice! It was first experience with pixel art for both of them, so it was expected that not everything will look the best it could.

Wow, now this is REALLY impresive! Everything looks so great! The music, the pixel art and the whole game idea is soo cool! I can't believe this has been done in 1 week.

Funny, good looking, and kinda challenging!

I liked the pixel art and I think the music suits it very well, also dialogue is well written. With that being said, I don't get what the point of the game is. After dialogue I spawn in th room with the shotgun, I can move and shoot, but nothing else happens, there is no enemies or objects, just a door that if I touch it shows the end screen. I don't know if this is some kind of bug or if I am doing something wrong.

Game just won't load, blank screen.

I love the graphics and musci. Honestly they are one of the best on the whole jam! But there is the problem that after some time the game will always freeze, and I didn't know what to do. Still after some fixes this will be a really solid title, great job!

Ok this is very impresive! Everything from music to level design and core mechanic feels very well made! I could only complain that there isn't much of a reason to kill enemies, because you can just dodge them, but thats just nit picky. Good job!

Someone screwd the lights badly, so badly in fact that I can't really see anything!

Art looks great, music sounds good, and most importantly, for a platformer at least, movement feels responsive. Well done!

I love the are, music and the Demon King's design! Gameplay is kinda simplistic and really easy, but I still really like your game!

Art looks really nice and climactic, but I didn't get what was I supposed to do and monster kept getting stuck on geometry around the level.

This game doesn't seem to load at all for me, do you know what the problem might be na dhow to fix it?

Basically a nokia snake game with a slight twist - I like it!

I don't think this game should be played in browser, can you maybe add a download option? It's just so laggy and I don't think it should be.

I like it, but I wish the knight was more focused on protecting me xD

I really like the animations of the monster, the music, and the whole concept of playing as a kaiju. But i have 2 critiques: first is that I haven't found a way to evade soldier's rockets, and the second is that the game doesn't have any sort of ending or high score system. Still great job!

I like the idea, music and artstyle, but as it stands the gameplay is too simple. Still great work tho.

I am not the biggest fan of your artstyle, but the music is good and the game overall is fun. I just think some levels are too easy becouse you can always just beat the guards, there is no reason to be stealthy.

Great concept, good pixel art and the voice generator you used gives it this creepy vibe. I love it!

Simple, good looking game. I do agree with the previous comment tho, being moved argound is kinda annoying.

I like the sounds and how the movement feels. Also money sometimes glitches by falling through the ground.
