Very good game, I really like this concept and I think you executed it very well. The mechanic of exchanging your music to get different abilities and recharge ammo was very good, but the ability where you can place down a shield to hide behind is by far my favorite part of the game. I never would have thought of that in a bullet hell. Though I haven't played a lot of them so that might already exist, but if it doesn't, good job.
Probably the best use of the theme I've seen so far, very polished game too
Cool concept, I’ve always wanted to play some kind of rhythm based twin-stick! It’s a little strange to hear the musical note get played in an unrelated key while the background music is playing in a different key. It might be worth pitching the ‘shoot’ musical sound effect up and down based on the background track to make this a bit less discordant. Also, maybe it was just the web version, but I felt like the shooting rhythm didn’t always match that of the music.
I ended up dying at the 3rd boss unfortunately, but I got close to beating it! I liked the different spirits, I was pleasantly surprised that they all had really different effects (especially the healing spirit). Nice job! I like the gungeon-inspired art style too.
I remembered Enter the Gungeon when I played it. The game is difficult but that's normal for a bullet Hell. The third boss teleports to your position causing you to lose life unfairly. Otherwise very good game. GG :)
Wowie. I really really liked this game. It looks great, the music is really good (really loved the voiced over track), and the gameplay is fantastic. The inspiration from enter the gungeon is clear, but I think it does great within that framework. This really felt like a demo for a game that a lot of people might pay for.
Still loved this one 4.5/5 Great job here and best of Luck - to the angel of jimi hendrix
Hey there, I am trying to get other to re-submit their reviews for my game if possible...it was deleted and removed from the Jam on accident based on a technicality which was solved between the Jam Host and a particular asset used in the game...please if you have time, energy, and/or generosity to re-saved your ratings/reviews for the game. I am going through and re-saving yours given my browser kept your rating saved data on my end...but it looks like I lost all 73 reviews and ratings from my end.... :( best of luck to you in the Jam
Sorry for the inconvenience if you have a chance to rate/re-rate
Oh, fun concept (I can see the Enter the Gungeon inspiration here too ;)) -- The difficulty is a bit high (I was only able to get to the second boss phase and getting booted back to the start felt a bit brutal), and it's a lot to keep track of for someone new to the concept, but mixing movement + dodging and a rhythm game together felt a bit like playing drums. Cool idea and the music is a bop :)
