How does your game fit the theme?
My game is a chill simulation game that literally includes what can be intense storms. An ever increasing difficulty challenges the player to create a resilient ecosystem before the storms and temperature swings make that impossible

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
no, i wrote all the code and made many assets but used many assets i got for free

I really enjoyed this!

Though I felt as though the start of the game was a bit slow, I thoroughly enjoyed planting and reaping resources.

Plant and facility variety was extensive, but not overwhelming and sliders for many settings (but especially time passage)  were incredibly helpful. The facilities also looked amazing and meshed together very well with the surrounding environment as it developed.

This is an excellent project with quite a bit of depth that provides a very unique take on the calm before the storm theme.

Thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it, this made my day!

I really enjoyed this! I didn't manage to grow anything other that the grass and cactuses (I was desperately trying to make a stable exosystem, but then literally all my plants died in an instant), however it was really fun, calm and relaxing. I really like the storm mechanic, not only is rain cozy, but also adds some interesting twists to the gameplay loop. The music and sounds are also very nice!

For the cons, some of the UI (if you hover over something to buy) is half-way off the screen, but that's a detail.

If you expand on this and add some better polished UI, could be really awesome!

Thanks so much for playing! I'm sorry there is a lot going on and it's not super intuitive how to grow larger plants. I may record a short video time lapse of one of my play through for anyone who wants how it works.

Thanks for the heads up on the UI, I'll add it to the known issues when I get home, not sure I'm going to go back in and fix it for this project because I don't know what's causing it yet but I'll absolutely try for the next one or if I expand this one!

why is this game trying to open SteamVR??

Submitted(+1)

hahaa Unreal games moment

Submitted

hahah I have tried other Unreal games and it never happened :D

Submitted(+1)

Well you can disable it in projects settings xd, a friend complained to me that my game also turns on SteamVR, which is funny

Developer(+2)

This is weird and I'm guessing its bc I built this on the unreal top down template and that had some beginnings of VR, I'll look into disabling that when I get the chance.

In the meantime I'll add it to the known bugs when I get home.
