You’ve created something truly special! The game is fun, unique, and so well-designed. You should be proud of this incredible accomplishment! ;D
Cool scene, and the day/night cycle is a nice touch, but I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do. Mouse buttons don't do anything, and the only thing you can seemingly do is just move :/
its all based on collision. The plan was to make the areas where things happen more obvious, but we ran out of time.
ohh okay. Better luck next time :)
Everyone loves fishing! Always loved the survive the night type of games, keep it up!
Looks nice, the day/night cycle and the voice acting is great, but I'm not sure what I must do?
Any pointers on what are the controls / objective?
Hi! No problem at all. Menu and control highlights got pushed as we didn't have the storm in the game till the night it was due lol. WASD for movement, and that's it. Walk to either edge of the boat to catch a fish or wood board. The fish are eaten on impact and fill the health. The wood is collected on impact. Walk up to the furnace in the cab to stop the blue "getting cold" timer for a short time. There is also not a prompt to put wood in the furnace, just walk up to it. The getting cold timer doesn't refill, so make sure you go to the furnace. The game is one full day night cycle. Halfway through, the storm comes, and any mistakes from earlier in the game in now compounded at it's dark, and your only half way through. The objective it to get to the next morning.
I see, thanks for the explanation! I know managing time and scope in game jams is hard :) I think the radio and voice acting adds a lot to the experience, but the game could be first person, since while the character model is very pretty it looks off with its A pose, and breaks the immersion a bit. Overall great job, especially for your first game, keep it up team!
