How does the game fit the theme?
"Nothing can go wrong" is an affirmation that a nervous person tells themselves before going on a date... Unfortunately some intrusive thoughts derail the conversation.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The coffee shop background and the font. Everything else was made for the jam.

Dang! The game mechanics are great and so well connected to the theme, where you try to make sure you don't say the wrong thing or say whatever pops into your head first (Omigod, the intrusive thoughts!). After playing the game for a while, you figure out how to get the best outcome, but it can get hard (I guess it can also be hard for any person who starts dating). Overall, it's a great game!
This game perfectly captures the theme, and I absolutely love the Undertale x Mass Effect "combat" . You nailed the intrusive thoughts - it felt incredibly real and immersive, like a genuine situation. Amazing work!
Really good mechanic, I loved the idea and this really fit the theme well
Wow this game is does fit the theme perfectly!
Very interesting idea. Got a few null responses. Even though I tried to balance out my answers she left me with the bill, sounds like my wife. Great submission!
Thanks for your comment. I didn’t expect the games to be unblocked for some time to fix bugs. I think I tracked a couple of the nulls and removed them, it may not be all of them but hopefully less.
Awesome idea with dialogue mechanic mixed with timed puzzle. I really enjoyed the texts and concept is far much more than classic VN's. I also encountered null response in the end, but I guess it meant that I failed the date.
Whoa, this was such a cool and innovative concept! I LOVE IT! Really unique and the narrative decisions were cool. I did end up getting some null responses how ever. Didn't take away from my enjoyment though. Great work!
Glad you liked it. We had some trouble managing the dialogue towards the end but shouldn’t affect gameplay (date is mostly decided by that point).
