Well done. Really fun game. The art is wonderful and I loved the gameplay and the idea. Really nice one. Keep it up! :)

Had a play of your game in this video here - at 34:55 -, where I give my thoughts while I play. Hopefully it's helpful feedback.

If you have time I'd greatly appreciate it if you could give my game a go to, happy jamming

nice and calming game but what is it's purpose? I mean you just drive and you can even follow only the same path. It could be better if there were some obstacles and be more challenging.

Developer

I didn’t try to make the game difficult; I just tried making the game. This was my first ever game and the majority of my time was spent learning.

A black hole-like mechanic and a hole-ridden terrain, I love your take on the theme! I think the game would benefit greatly from a timer or some UI element with some kind of point system. Still, this is a great game with a lovely atmosphere, great job!

Thanks for your feedback! I was planning on adding a live score counter, but ran out of time :p

That was a pretty neat little game! Didn't feel like a game made by someone with only 2 weeks of experience. The atmosphere was calming, even when it got faster. I liked the way the music sped up with the car's speed. The relational gravity was well made, too, as well as the camera that followed the player pretty smoothly.

The biggest hiccup I could see was that it was hard to see if there was a hole in front of me. It probably would have helped if the camera was higher and tilted more towards the ground.

By the way, you're doing the right thing moving from one quick project to the next, that's the best way to learn, particularly in the beginning. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your feedback! I planned to add more like a live score counter and another planet, but I ran out of time. I did learn everything in this game in two weeks though. My blender models were somewhat buggy and the camera was a bit shaky, but it was my first game and I'm proud of it!

fun game, it was a bit hard to see where the holes in front of you were, and some UI displaying the current score would be nice, it was a bit weird that you could drive through the trees though, and there is a bug where the vehicle misses the black hole. but still pretty fun game! also good music and sound effects, i like the SUCK sound.

Navigated 49 seconds, the game is beautiful and I find the car noise really funny. Having the score displayed in real time would add a lot I think, good game :)

Developer

Yeah I considered adding a real-time display but I had to learn everything from scratch and ran out of time. Also if you listen to the black hole its my friend just saying SUCK into his microphone.

I just read your description because I was wondering if the assets were premade, so you actually learned blender in the mean time? Thats pretty impressive haha

Developer

Yeah lol I installed and learned blender during the week. Tbh though the models I made didn't require much skill to make.

Great concept! And very well made if you just started Unity 2 weeks ago! I really like the effect the skybox has on the atmosphere and the music makes it feel relaxing and fits really well, nice job!
