In what way does your game fit the theme?
Chemical elements can change and get bigger by adding protons and using bonds.

Nice work! Smart game^^
Please rate mine if you have time:

What exactly you enjoyed in my game?
I liked that you made it in a short time. Because I've done the same, I understand what it takes.
For me that's the only thing that deserves credit here. The whole rest depends on your skills. Some can do more in 7 days than other, so there's no point of talking about the rest, cause maybe you're not an artist or you are, or not a tech guy or you are, or don't have years of experiences in whatever jobs or you do, but what you and others have for sure is walked that game jam path.
Working your ass off to present a result in a short amount of time. That's what I liked for that first jam and that's the only thing I salute cause I know all the rest is just about knowing how to do something, or having time to do it.
But hey, I can't say that in all my messages so I just write a cheerful comment and ask politely if people want to rate my game. Cause I take time to download and play other games just for the jam, not because I enjoy prototypes that much ☺️
Thank you for compliment. Anybody can just say generic "great game", but it takes deeper understanding to give compliment, which matters. Also, please, think about this https://itch.io/t/1192469/suicide-prevention-with-games
Good: There is an educational element, although the choice of font made it sometimes difficult to read.
Room for improvement: The audio is very on the nose and works as a distraction most of the time. I would have loved if combining the elements had some greater impact/give the player different abilities, just something to give more value to the changed state other than some different letter.
All in all the game feels very rough still, but it does fulfill the purpose it was designed for, which (i think) is giving a better understanding of the elements.
I'm sure your future projects will only become better from this point on, keep going!
Edit: Tip for future submissions with Godot, pack both the .exe file and the pck file into a .zip or .rar file, that way you can upload a single file that people can unzip, instead of uploading your project in two pieces :)
Thank you for analytic reply. I agree that the game is rough (it's main purpose was to be a break from my main game). I hope that you will support this initiative https://itch.io/t/1192469/suicide-prevention-with-games Also I hope that this will make your day at least a little bit brighter (https://mindblower-humansr.itch.io/jojoish-coin-shooter). By the way with H you are immortal, after receiving damage changes speed to reflect different states, but with He is changed time scale for a while.
I see, did not notice the upgrades you received (mainly because I could not follow what was going on sometimes), so that might just be an issue for me then! Thanks for the clarification.
I liked how the game was education to teach people about the elements.
Great games are fun AND gives value after player has finished them. I hope that you will join my initiative https://itch.io/t/1192469/suicide-prevention-with-games and will enjoy my newest main game https://mindblower-humansr.itch.io/jojoish-coin-shooter
Cool game. I like the idea of becoming a larger atom over time. I made it to "The End".
I think a more playful music track could fit better.
I'd appreciate it if you could play and rate my game as well :)
Thank you for the feedback. I suggest to consider my initiative https://itch.io/t/1192469/suicide-prevention-with-games Also if you wish playtest for playtest (my main game is https://mindblower-humansr.itch.io/jojoish-coin-shooter ).
Nice game
What exactly you liked? What I could have done better?
Your idea is very good. You could have increased the max number of elements. But as it's for a game jam it's ok. If you work on this project in the future it would be very nice. Also please try to play and rate My Game😊
K. Thank you for the reply. I will play. The main reason why I did not have more elements was, because this is more like minimal viable product and I usually refine to golden standard before scaling (force of habit). Also it was break from my main game https://mindblower-humansr.itch.io/jojoish-coin-shooter
