This is the most innovative game mechanic I've seen in this jam! Very well done! There's quite a bit of depth to it as well.

I also liked the variety in the levels, but I felt that the "mist" mechanic had a learning curve that is a bit too steep - I was less inclined to repeat levels that had it.

Overall, I really enjoyed it!

Yeah, but I was unable to find a download / play link to the game. I had to find it on itch.

Glad you enjoyed it :) Thank you for the helpful feedback regarding the sound.

Very cool! Unlike most submissions I've seen, this is actually a plausible mobile game. Consider uploading a link to gamejam.com to make it easier to discover for this jam.

I'd greatly appreciated if you play and rate my game as well :)

I understand that ratings are on gamejam.com. My question is around the desired number of ratings for each game.
Should I post the question on gamejam.com's discussion board instead?

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :) Please make sure to rate:  https://gamejam.com/jam/scorejam12/submissions/277151

There should be an "X" button on the top right of the spell combination screen.

What's your high score?

I'll play and rate your game.

If so, what is the threshold? If not, how does the ranking system handle submission with very low (1 or 2) number of ratings?

Does the game need a built-in leaderboard system? Or would displaying the best player score and comparing the numbers outside the game work?

Thanks :) I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you :)

It's quite difficult at the moment, I apologize. I'll add easier difficulty levels after the jam.

I'll play your game.

Thank you :)

I enjoyed your game!

Amazing idea! I actually finished the game. I had the "attack with sword" guy kill someone from behind the "block with sword" guy. Not sure if intended or if I cheated haha.

Sound effects would've been nice, but I enjoyed the game otherwise.

And thank you for playing my game!

Thank you :) I'd very much like to turn it into a full game eventually, so your comment is very encouraging.

I'll play your game.

I love the art style. Also thank you for adding checkpoints, it made the game a lot more enjoyable!

I'm not sure if I did something wrong or if its a bug, but I lost my clone and I was unable to spawn it on the button to keep the double jump platform "on". I enjoyed the game otherwise.

And thank you for playing my game!

Thank you :)

I'll play your game.

Thanks for the feedback :)

I didn't get a chance to do target selection with mouse click. Only keyboard targeting works (Tab is default).

I also enjoyed your game!

Very cool! I managed to beat it on "normal" difficulty.

Almost all games in the jam follow a "work with your allies" type of pattern. This is the first to rely on "separate your enemies". Very unique!

I like how the particles stay on the ground. Makes missing less punishing. Great work!

And thank you for playing my game.

I can see it now. I'll play it!

Very cool! Love the voice acting.

Was a bit tough playing with AZERTY keys, but I managed :D I couldn't switch my keyboard to French.

Thank you for playing my game!

Thank you :)

I'm happy to play and rate your game but I can't seem to find it for some reason.

Thank you :)

:fistbump: I'll play your game!

Wow, superb game and level design! I love the idea of this puzzle game. Honestly I think you can turn it into a small mobile game without significant investment.

The chromatic aberration effect felt a bit distracting, but other than that I enjoyed it. Great work!

And thank you for playing my game!

Very cool! I like the fact that enemies start moving when you move. It takes the good parts of a turn based game without the boring parts.

Thank you for playing my game!

Thank you :)

Of course, I'll play your game!

Thank you :)

I kinda ran out of time working on the settings page. It was either "rebindable controls" or "volume / music / graphics quality" sliders. I felt that the former is a larger barrier to folks with AZERTY or other layouts.  Seems like the latter could've been more helpful for you to make the game run smoother.

Thanks for the review! I enjoyed your game.

Thank you :)

I'll play your game.

all done! thank you for playing and rating my game :)

Thank you :)

I enjoyed your game!

Thank you :) I'll play your game.

Cool game! I like raising a zombie army.

we've already played and rated each others games.. haha :)

Very cool!

Very cool concept. I like the fantasy theme. The game is a bit too punishing, but I enjoyed it.

I'd appreciate it if you could play and rate my game as well :)

Just make sure to leave a comment on the rate page:

"a bible? where's the sword?" haha

Very cool game! I like that you have dialog and I like the attack / dodge timing mechanic. It makes reactions relevant in a turn based game.

The "wobbly" walk animation felt a bit too goofy for the game setting, but other than that I enjoyed it.

I have a cutscene in my game as well, so please check it out and rate it :)

Cool game. I like the idea of becoming a larger atom over time. I made it to "The End".

I think a more playful music track could fit better.

I'd appreciate it if you could play and rate my game as well :)

Very cool! I like the idea of assembling an army of friends.

I managed to get 35 of them. They kept blocking me though lol.

I'd appreciate it if you could play and rate my game as well :)
