Nice game, movement needs some work. I kept on pressing space to jump which switched my character and then I died. Also, when you swap character there is a bit of delay which isn't great. Another thing is you should be able to move in the air. Interesting game though, well done!

Developer

Hi, thanks for the feedback! I'll make the swap delay shorter and I'll change the key to swap characters to something else like maybe 'q' or 'e' because I want to try and keep all the controls close together and easy to access with one hand.

Wow what a fun game, really enjoyed my playthrough!

The only thing I can say is make the reload on death a bit quicker as I want to get back into the game as soon as, otherwise loved the game!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. We'll be sure to include a reduced game over scene time in the update after the jam ends!

I really like your concept of the game! Getting together to a certain place. Also the art of the character and the background/tiles are amazing. A lot of detail in the work. Keep it up!

I suggest to that you make your 2 characters diffrent in the way they move or let one player start from the right and the other one start from the left side of the map so they meet each other in the middle because right now it is like you have to move through your parcour two times the same way what makes the playstyle a bit one-sided. Also if you jump with the player you are not able to control it in the air what leads into difficulties on certain challenges in your map or if you collide with an edge of a tile then you are just stuck and drop down again. If you improve that I think this is an amazing game.

Good Job!

Ye the movement in air stuff was a bit messy. I can easily reenable that though as we were originally gonna have it so at certain points you couldn't move in the air with certain stuff and then reenable it. So we do have a simple boolean we could reenable the  movement in air. I'll be sure to do that in an update after the jam rating period ends.

The movement script needs a lot of work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. Is there anything specific you'd like to see from it? I know the movement in air was an issue for a few other people and I'm going to enable movement in air in the first update after the rating period ends.

There is a lot to do! Next time maybe pick something more simple. Better simple and finished than big and unfinished. Hope you had fun making this game!

Developer

Yes I agree really. We were quite ambitious with our idea and that left it a bit unfinished. I had fun making this game though and I'd say it's been a good experience for me as this was my first time coding a completely custom character controller (I was the programmer in the team for this jam).

There is room for improvement. 🙂

Developer

Is there anything specific you'd like to see? I will try to improve it as best I can as I plan to continue working on this after the rating period is up. I'm definitely gonna be updating the movement in air straight away.
