In what way does your game fit the theme?
1. I initially was building a much larger game, but I wasn't close to finishing, so 5 hours before the deadline, I decided to punt and turn my most interesting game component into a full game by itself. I "embraced the chaos" by saving every interesting or funny bug/mistake that I made in the process of turning this component into a game, and I share each failure with the player and try to build the game for them as they are playing it.
2. It is a game about rush hour traffic. Chaos :-)
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code was my own. Sound was from Freesound.org, but I did combine some effects in Audacity. Textures were from a Kenney.nl free texture map. I did put the tiles together to make the game background.

great work, nice narrative made me laugh.
good game
Love the intro! I think you should keep working on this one after the jam, it's got a lot of potential! Like, maybe there could be a forever mode where you can crash into cars without the level stopping? Or a certain point in the game where the apocalypse starts but nobody stops because they don't want to lose their job? That'd be pretty chaotic. Anyhoo, great fun. Commuter chaos!
Thanks! I did one update and am working on a second. I don't think there are hours of gameplay here, but I might add more variations down the road if there is interest.
Love the intro. The graphics are great, the music too. But my lazy me found that you can easily beat the high score by just following the two yellow line in the middle. Maybe adding some obstacle there can be good to avoid it ^^
I did that in version 2! Just waiting for the upload window to re-open. Good catch, though, I missed that during my own testing
Really nice game! I like a lot the intro and development process, I was hoping something would happen when I reach the high score (that was me on the tutorial) the horn sound effects are awesome and how the change based on where are you, they give a nice touch to the game. If the UI was pixelart too everything was perfect!
Keep making games
Thanks, that's a good idea! I'm doing a small update, I might have to add something special if you hit the high score.
Very consistent Art. I really enjoyed playing your game.
Fun game! The unconventional narrative element was a lot of fun. And yes, it is looks and sounds very nice, but it is buggy haha
Hopefully buggy in a contained way 🤞 Thanks for playing
Great Game! Your intro idea of taking the player through the bugs is really good. it made me feel part of your process. the Gameplay is simple but quite smooth and fun. Nice Job!
I liked the music and the intro was funny. The gameplay was actually pretty nice for its simplicity. It was fun that the cones would bounce around.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great game! I liked the intro tutorial.
Thanks for the feedback!
I liked the developer narration. How was the car horn triggered? Was it a trigger on the back of the player car and if another car entered it would play the sound?
No, but that would have also worked. Each car has two collision detection zones and two audio sources. If you cut them off (in front), they honk three times. If you come within a few pixels of hitting them, they give a single long horn blast. The player also checks for collisions, and it plays the crashing sound effect when you actually hit a car. Multiple audio sources work well in Godot, but things can get loud if you get too many overlapping sound effects at once.
Thats awesome thanks for the diagram too. I never used Godot but I've watched some videos on it. It looks good.
Great game !! 12,435 score
Nice!
Cool game! Really fun! not much bad about it. I had lots of fun playing it:)
Thanks for the feedback
The humor was definitely the best part, felt like I was playing the creators of the Stanley Parable's attempt at the jam :D
That's high praise, Stanley is such a good game!
The cheekiness in the first few scenes that also teach the player was amazing!! The game is super well made and has a great vibe between the graphics and the audio. Really great feeling game with some good polish especially for having originally set out to make an even bigger game! Great work!
Thank you! Showcasing my failures was fun and quite cathartic. And it's good to hear that someone appreciated my sleep-deprived sass.
The glitches and the commentary that go with them are very relatable as a fellow programmer!
Thanks! Games for programmers are always a good idea for a jam!

Good and fun game. I was not able to beat the highscore (if you were suppose to)
You set the high score yourself in the level with the crazy traffic cones. But yeah, it's usually ridiculously high. I wouldn't necessarily expect you to beat it in the final stage.
nice game
Thanks!
they do be honking tho
Indeed, they do
