I wrote all the code myself, but i downloaded some assets like the map and character

I really like the aestetics of this!
Having the ability to rotate the camera would probably be helpful for this, but other than that this game works...
There are of course plenty of improvements that you could make, but other than the camera nothing was annoying to me.
I wish there was a UI or something tracking what I was eating, as well as feedback when I pickup something I shouldn't eat. A live system would be cool too, or some kind of transition from death to game over.
