This game is very unique and I enjoyed everything except the jumping challenge, I just suck so bad at that and can't handle it haha! I got 7/8 employees reprimanded
Seems like the background ambience doesn't loop that well and I can hear a click every time it loops, it kinda bugged me haha. That might happen if you are using .mp3.
Great job overall :D
The theme of this game jam,
was "This is NOT real".
And I hope that holds true with your game,
because it truly was surreal.
From searching for papers, to feeding a monster,
the game escalated quickly.
The visuals and audio worked great together,
to create an atmosphere that was creepy.
To create this weird, yet amazing game,
you let your id unfurl.
To give you kudos, for a game well made,
I'll only say, "good girl" :D
This game had a very creepy atmosphere, I liked it and was very unique. Good Job.
I really like how this game starts off in a real mundane way (filing papers and tiding away stock) and then switches to feeding your fellow employees to a giant creepy green head lol. The game felt really atmospheric and I loved the surrealism of it.
One gripe I had is that it took too long to travel around the game area. This was particularly noticeable when transporting employees to the large head. I liked the long corridor that lead up to it and I can see why you designed the level that way (it looked really freaky looming in the distance), but it would have been better if you could collect all the employees and transport them there in one go if you wanted. One by one felt a little monotonous unfortunately.
Really nice concept though!
damn man i really liked the idea of the game
it felt fun and satisfying to play
great job 👍
And it's Brackeys shortest-ever Start To Crate time! (I'm teasing, crates are fine.) The monster face saying "good girl" when you feed employees to it was super creepy. But I really needed some more grounding in what was going on and why, otherwise it just felt like I was completing a series of random tasks.
sorry that i can't play your game as it's too laggy to play on a browser. so i'm not gonna rate it.
as i can see on your screen captures. the scenes look nice. i especially like the pink color you'd chosen.
Nice game, rated it. pls rate my game also if you don't mind - https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1418152
The game was cute, the concept was nice.
However, the controls felt a little slippery. It was especially obvious during the platforming section. Jumping had an ~0.5 second delay before the actual jump, and the momentum during the jump carries you even when landed which lead to moments where you would slip off. It would have also helped if there was a soft indicator of where you would land, like a shadow.
They're not total problems if it was intended, but the the platforming in the game required precision which did not mesh well with the controls. So gotta decide on either removing the precise platforming, or fine tuning movement.
Overall, looking forward to see how this game will grow!
Overall, I liked this game. It was definitely surreal. I also like that it works so well in the browser.
Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to seeing your future work.
The 3D models are nice,
The game needs some audio or extra ambiance though, and running from one room to get people all the way to the room with the creepy head 6 times gets a bit repetitive
but other than that nice work!
Super eerie! I was surprised by the giant hungry head. Nice puzzles though. Great game!
Interesting game! I found 6 papers but couldn’t figure out what I’m supposed to do next. Managed to play some bowling with the boxes, though :) Good job!
