How does your game fit the theme?
When the potato dies, a new potato spawns and you have to start over again. At some point you have to sacrifice a potato to unlock new areas to continue playing.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All is done by me and my friend, except the blurry backround and the stones

I tried the game but the game didn't fit on my screen, so I couldn't see the instructions to advance and the stones are placed in such a way that the player has to fall on them at least once
You can adjust the size of your browser screen to fit the game
This is a nicely polished game. The idea of a potato running around the sharp rocks is a funny concept. I would suggest selecting a different button for dash. I tried both WASD and Arrows for basic movement and neither felt like a natural combination with X. My best performance was with WASD-Space with left hand, and then just use my right hand index finger on X to dash.
As a platformer, this required a lot of precision movement. For me the game was very difficult to make progress. The visuals and audio went really well together. I liked the object permanence for the potato shreds on the ground. For the dash and death sounds...did you record some swishing sounds with your mouth?! They were great.
Great submission.
Thank you for the feedback! I took the movement controls from Celeste and for me it feels really natural, but I should've definitively added another button for dash. And yeah, I made the sound effects with my mouth :D
I appreciate the variable jump height, but maybe movements still need some improvements, maybe clamping the fall speed. I think the spikes are a little hard to differentiate with the background, a white outline could work. Overall, Great game! :)
Thank you :)
