What a fun little game. I enjoyed the puzzles so much, especially since the later / more complex ones offered many different solutions. You also did a great job increasing the difficulty with each new room.
I would have appreciated different colors or sprites for different "timelines" since having multiple player sprites run across the maps made it a bit confusing.
Creative puzzle game! I enjoyed it and I was quite sure I would be stumped, but a little trial and error starts to reveal how the mechanics work. Stepping on platforms to keep them from going up is a lifesaver! Made it a lot less frustrating that there wasn't just one single solution to the puzzles.
As others said, lack of sound and writing will hurt your score, but I rated you high on creativity and gameplay. Better visuals and some nicer feedback mechanisms would make the game a bit more fun and playable.
This is a unique puzzle game: step on buttons to lower the walls; not only do you have a set number of moves to make before the walls return to block your path, but you also have to die so your later incarnations can make it through the maze. It's a straightforward game, but it would have been nice to have at least a little bit of text in the form of a tutorial and/or backstory. It's also a little disappointing that the game doesn't have any sound at all.
Overall, it's a cool puzzle game concept, and I liked it!
The gameplay is really awesome and creative! However, no music or sound effects make it hard to immerse yourself. Puzzles were challenging but fun. Nice job!
Man! its a bummer you don't have sound or writing for this, cause im pretty sure it would rank really high. I love the mechanic of the resurrection to complete the different rooms. This is fun to play =)
Nice idea, but many bugs and exploids. I don't hear sounds or music and there is no writing in the game. But the idea is great. Nice work, keep going on!
Thanks! I would love all of that..ran out of time :) What bugs and exploits did you experience?
In the first room you couldn't enter two base plates in the north. In the second room you could stand on the door and block it from going up again. If you spamming up/down to a trigger many times you could exploid the game without thinking. You could easly get through the levels. And I wasn't sure how the recoloring of pattern works. I believe thats not quite right, but I'm not sure on that on.
The plates in the first room...you are right, it was a problem I had just a few minutes before submission and couldn't figure out why hah. The other things are actually not exploits! Standing on barriers keep them down until you are away from them. Some of these early levels have multiple ways of solving them, and players can choose to keep pressing a button down, if they figure that out.
