Cool game. The player's shooting feels really nice, but I found the movement a little awkward. I also couldn't find a way to play the game fullscreen or make the window bigger, so I was left playing in a very tiny resolution which made playing slightly harder. Thought the game was fun though!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much, you can make it bigger with alt + enter, but I'm glad to hear you still enjoyed it!

really cool art stile and concept a knight with a gun awesome !!!

the controls took a little getting used to , would have like a little dead zone where if i was aiming the player would not move , shooting stuff felt really satisfying nice game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I worked a lot on the game feel, and I'm glad it turned out nice. I tried making that dead zone, but it would completely glitch out. I didn't have enough time to fix it so I just removed it, but I will be adding that in the post-jam version once I have more time.

Really nicely polished game, I really enjoyed how you controlled the character and interacted with everything. Nice Job!

Great game!,  i really like this art style of almost 2.5d and the player looking like its made out of paper when it turns around. Great music and level design overall great game.  also i found a little bug that i can't replicate on demand but i think if an enemy attacks me and i face a wall or drink a health potion

right before i die i respawn at spawnpoint with 0 lives and after  that if i get attacked my lives count goes into the negatives and i dont die ,Also happens when i tab out with the game running,

Restarting fixes it though very fun game.

Developer

Thanks, dude. I also had that bug when I was making the GIFs for the itch page, I think I'm stupid and I checked if it is equal to zero not if it's smaller or equal to zero, but it's too late now to fix it. I'm glad to hear that you like it!

great job with this game, I would even say it's a little immersive, its controls are simple, the level design is cool and its audio too

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot man, glad to hear you enjoyed it!

very cool game! good job, especially for only 10 days!
I really liked this one, especially the art style (and the wizards attack caught me off guard), but the controls were a little hard to get used to, and I think a couple more lifes at the start would also be nice.

oh and also I somehow managed to get lives below zero, not sure how this happened (I think it was smth about respawning since it happened when I got teleported to the start room), but it sure helped me complete the game :)

Overall very cool game! Hope you'll check out mine too ;)

Thanks so much, dude, I didn't have time to make a real attack on the wizard so I just used the knife from the orc with another sprite, and I'll be sure to make it a little bit easier next time. That bug that you have -1 lives was for me to debug, and I forgot to remove it.  But I am really glad to hear that you enjoyed the game.

The controls are really simple and nice, wish you had a zone around the player where he wouldn't move and would just aim tho.

Good use of assets, other than the players gun which felt really out of place.

I really liked the game juice and how simple everything was, so much so you didn't even need a tutorial!

Very solid submission, great job!

Developer

Thanks, man. I worked pretty hard on the game feel,  and I think it turned out pretty juicy. Originally I did have it so that the player could still aim if they stood still, but it would completely trip out sometimes and I didn't have sufficient time to fix it so I just removed it.  But I really like to hear that you enjoyed it.

Yeah no problem, you could do the aiming by getting the distance from the mouse to the player and if its lesser than some value not move the player.

Very nice stuff btw!

I could finish an in-game tutorial so I will type it here:

Controls:

  • move = mouse
  • shoot = mouse
  • pickup = mouse

Shoot at everything to interact with it.

Enemies can block bullets if they have a weapon in their hands.
