The game concept was quite nice! The sprite choices were really charming, I enjoyed fighting the hand bosses. Keep it up!

Add a little bit is isaac here, add a little bit of undertale there, and a pinch of tohou... voila!

I won once, I restarted to see if there would be differences when killing different parts first (and eventually died these times) but I think I did something like 02:02 or 02:12. I was not disappointed, I love how you get different patterns with one eye or with one mouth and with two eyes or with one eye and one mouth (and in the case I'm wrong with that it just means there're plenty of different patterns so it's fine anyway).

Therefore it's a great entry. It looks and sounds great, controls perfectly and there're quite some patterns to dodge, all cool and all different. The switch between different damage modes, when you die to fit the theme, is super cool too, you've got two different great uses of the theme and I really like when people go all in with the theme so I specially love that. Finally the difficulty is also perfect for the jam.

That's an excellent entry, thanks for sharing.

It's certainly an interesting submission, the small bounding box with the bosses moving around is a cool concept and reminds me of Undertale. Moving and shooting independent controls, its simple but feels very good once you get used to it

The visuals and sound effects are a bit bare bones but what's there works well enough for the game.

The coolest part for me was how killing one of the hands would not just change phases but alter the attack patterns based on which hand(s) were left. i.e. you have to face the 'consequence' of which hand you chose to kill.

Whilst I get what you were going for with the hp mechanic, it felt a bit too punishing for a single mistake. The orbiting shields are fine and offset the speed loss, but the shield felt bad to use and often I'd lose shortly after dropping to that last hitpoint.

Thanks for the feedback!

THIS IS SO AWESOME!!! I really like the vibes of this game and the idea you've went with for the theme. Tho there are some balancing issues imo. Near the end of the fight there are bullet patterns that are outright undodgeable without a shield. It feels kinda unfair at moments. But it could as well just be a skill issue lol. All in all, this is my favorite game in the jam so far.

Developer

Thanks that means so much! Also yeah I agree some attacks definitely could've used some nerfing :)

very neat submission!

reminds me of master hand :)

I think an explanation of the different abilities might help out a bit when you first start, but there's also an argument to be made that they're intuitive enough as it is!

love the visuals, and the inspiration from undertale's system is pretty neat too. very well done overall!

Thank you!!!

Super cool visuals, and the gameplay is awesome! I think a couple more different loops for the hands would do wonders towards making this an actual full game! Great job!

The visuals were really striking! The theme was also really well implemented; very interesting that you gain powers as you lose health. Personally I my favorite power-up was the three orbs. Saved me more times than I can count!

Thanks for the kind feedback!! :)
