I loved the graphics here. The theme was also on point. I really liked the balance of attack the right enemies but don’t hurt what you shouldn’t be shooting.

If anything, I would have loved to be able to slow down my movement a little especially when boss patterns got a little too tight. But overall, really enjoyable, and it makes me want to include a boss rush mode with my games going forward!

Thanks a lot, yes I think I went for a medium speed but might as well make it a tiny bit faster but with a button to slow down next time.

The art style is great! The music reminds me very much of touhou which is perfect haha. It was very hard for me to avoid the casualties xD But I am not good in bullet hell in general. Overal great game :)

Thanks, yes I shoot all these poor skydivers myself too, in general managing to at least not destroy a building is nearly enough to stay under the required amount but even that's not always easy in the action.

Really cute graphics and an amazing relaxing sound. The framerate made it a bit trippy and i'd love so more animation on contact, but overall, it's an amazing entry

I really love the art style. Was it done digitally, or traditionally and scanned?
Overall, I love everything about this entry. Thank you so much for submitting this one.

The boss rush is definitely my favourite thing of the game jam. 10/10
It is super fun, challenging and you get to see cool bosses.

Thanks a lot, all made by hand and scanned yes. Based on the comments it seems the boss rush was a good idea although I was rightfully told by family it's a bit cheating as people should work their way through the different endings if you want to see them ;) .

Nice visuals, great music, making everything without an engine is very impressive! I think the game goes from 0 to a 100 a bit too fast, the very early enemies shooting less or slower would be appreciated, but overall incredible work.

Very cute artstyle, good theme, hella hard and lotsa stuff to do. Great game!

I never looked at a game engine so I don't even know what I'm missing, it seems that as long as it's in 2d I manage to do what I want to do with base Java. However the only one time I made some 3d thing, directly using direct 3d library, it was super overwhelming though so if I ever work with 3d again then I will, it might not happen though as it was not related to one of my games and I'm not specially interested in making 3d games.

Hi,

I recently played both the normal mode and the boss rush mode of your game.

The game looks really cool and stands out with its very unique and funny visuals. The art style is quite creative and adds a lot of personality to the gameplay experience.

The sound design is good too, complementing the visuals nicely. However, I did find the screen a bit overloaded at times, which made it slightly challenging to keep track of everything happening. A bit more clarity or reduction in visual clutter could improve the experience.

The concept of having different bosses based on the casualties is very interesting and fits the game jam theme perfectly. It adds a strategic element to the game, encouraging players to think carefully about their actions and the consequences.

Overall, you've done a fantastic job. I really enjoyed playing your game and appreciate the effort and creativity that went into making it. 

Keep up the great work! I’m looking forward to seeing what you create next :)

I beat both the regular mode and the boss rush. Fun and very well presented.  The art is especially cool. I give it high marks in everything, but then we come to level design... 75% or more of the screen is completely blocked off by some hazard at all times, and I don't mean bullets. Whether it is is a building blocking shots, a line of enemies that you didn't speedkill, or the chance of an enemy appearing from the sides or back (big design no-no), you end up limited to a very small part of the screen. For that reason the bosses are the most fun and fair part. Definitely a strong foundation that some better levels could be built on.

as everybody has said the game has cool art , the couple of frames of animation you added to everything made it feel a lot more alive and enjoyable to look at.
The game itself is also fun with you having to miss civilians on purpose (though i'll admit on hard it is a tad overkill) and helicopters coming in as a distraction if you overdo it

Thank you for adding the boss rush, it makes it easier to see the entire game, my favorite parts was the godzilla segment.

I love this game! Just seeing the art I can tell it’s your game, I really like your art style, is super unique and recognizable. The gameplay was great, super cool patterns, it felt difficult at first but then you really get used to it and I found it well balanced and had me really tense by the end of the map, the deer had me dying hahahaha The boss rush is a really smart addition as it makes possible to see all the endings, which are pretty fun as well. And damn there where some bangers. Overall a wonderful experience. You really outdid yourself with this one, I can see the growth since last year ^^

Honestly one of my favorite games yet, the art style is unique and consistent, the ui is clean, the game play is easy to understand and I love the idea of different ending based on how many casualties or enemies you kill. Overall amazing job!

I have a particular appreciation for the art style of this one because I used marker in the concept art for everything in my entry, so I feel a kind of kinship between our entries. I thought the gameplay was fun, a lot of the bullet patterns were very well designed and I enjoyed the variety that the obstructing buildings brought.

Such a cool game, the art style is unique and it's well polished! I really love the different paths available depending on how you play, a great way to implement the Jam's theme into the game. Definitely on the harder side but it's bullet hell so fits the theme perfectly. Nice job!
