Hi,
nice game, played and rated.
Please feel free to try out my game here: https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/474542
if you don’t want to play the buggy version, add to collection as I’m working on a new and bigger version.
Many thanks,
Kris
Good game, I like the multiple ending idea, may be too short for a retro text adventure game. perhaps you can work on it latter, played and rated the game, nice work and all the best!
Good game! I like the text style you went for. Thanks for checking out my game! :)
Nice game! It felt like a retro text adventure game. I like the story line and the relation to the theme. Did you code with batch file from start? or with some other code language or engine.
I actually used a free and open source engine called Twine (http://twinery.org/) to make the game. Twine allows you to create non-linear stories that can be published in almost site that support HTML5 games, and you can extend your stories with variables, conditional logic, images, CSS, JavaScript, etc. It's a cool engine, and i absolutely recommend it to those who want to make their first game.
Anyway, thanks for your awesome feedback! ;D
Wow this game really is a liar lol! So is ours though:). https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/476728
This game was really original and I have not seen any game quite like it in the game jam. Excellent work :D.
Loved your game all the way through. I thought I played all the endings, and rated the game 4 on the fun category, then I realized there are more endings I can explore (including the true(?) ending). Went through all and came back here to change the rating to a full FIVE. I myself made a similar text based game, couldn't fit everything I wanted. Yours looks so much polished. I am glad you are going to expand the game and will add more content along with graphics and sounds. You gave me an inspiration to polish and expand my game too. I would love to know what tools and approach you used so that I can learn something from you. Again congratulations on a well designed and fun game.
good job on your first game. It looks well designed
as it has so many death endings I would prefer an autosave function or spawn back at the last place mechanic. After a while you don't want to start from the beginning and select all the correct choices again.
continue developing games! the next step is teaming up with a composer and adding some background theme, click sfx etc.
