Such a distinctive game! Really like the text adventure vibe :D. Looks pretty cool too! Very good game, wish you all the best! <3
Thanks, mate! ;D Also, thank you very much for being the 20th person to rate my game! XD Please keep an eye out to the game's devlog, because i'll be updating the game after the jam ends! Once again, thank you very much! ;D
You've got yourself a fan, I would say ;) .We'll also be updating our game, can't wait for the full version of yours! Cheers, mate! :D
Hi,
nice game, played and rated.
Please feel free to try out my game here: https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/474542
if you don’t want to play the buggy version, add to collection as I’m working on a new and bigger version.
Many thanks,
Kris
Good game, I like the multiple ending idea, may be too short for a retro text adventure game. perhaps you can work on it latter, played and rated the game, nice work and all the best!
Good game! I like the text style you went for. Thanks for checking out my game! :)
Nice game! It felt like a retro text adventure game. I like the story line and the relation to the theme. Did you code with batch file from start? or with some other code language or engine.
I actually used a free and open source engine called Twine (http://twinery.org/) to make the game. Twine allows you to create non-linear stories that can be published in almost site that support HTML5 games, and you can extend your stories with variables, conditional logic, images, CSS, JavaScript, etc. It's a cool engine, and i absolutely recommend it to those who want to make their first game.
Anyway, thanks for your awesome feedback! ;D
You definitely stood out with a text adventure. That gave a fine retro feeling. Dam, I'm old... :(
Too bad people don't like to read
when rating game jam games.Wow this game really is a liar lol! So is ours though:). https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/476728
Great game!
This game was really original and I have not seen any game quite like it in the game jam. Excellent work :D.
Thank you very much! ;D
Loved your game all the way through. I thought I played all the endings, and rated the game 4 on the fun category, then I realized there are more endings I can explore (including the true(?) ending). Went through all and came back here to change the rating to a full FIVE. I myself made a similar text based game, couldn't fit everything I wanted. Yours looks so much polished. I am glad you are going to expand the game and will add more content along with graphics and sounds. You gave me an inspiration to polish and expand my game too. I would love to know what tools and approach you used so that I can learn something from you. Again congratulations on a well designed and fun game.
good job on your first game. It looks well designed
as it has so many death endings I would prefer an autosave function or spawn back at the last place mechanic. After a while you don't want to start from the beginning and select all the correct choices again.
continue developing games! the next step is teaming up with a composer and adding some background theme, click sfx etc.
Really fun game but it would be nicer with audio.
liked it
a texted base game, thats unique! haven't seen a lot of those :) not sure what endings i got i know i got about 5 of them :)
I liked it..
I think I won... I'm happy that's all that matters
Glad you liked it. ;D
Very cool game :) I love text based games
Thanks! Glad you liked it! ;D
Oh, and just to let you know, i will start working on a post jam version of this game very soon, so keep an eye out on the devlogs.
