The art and music were pretty good. However, there was a monster near the starting area so I kept on dying and couldn't progress. Perhaps you can also make it a bit lighter; it's quite hard to see were you're going.

I killed the red ghost...I guess...and ended up in a kind of light world. Was that the end?

Art and sound fit together nicely, good job! Those things which catch you and make the screen red are annoying, because you have to die to get rid of the redness... And if you respawn, the enemies should respawn to strategic points too, otherwise you will end up very close to them and covering your way back from a dead end.

Are those "crosses" and small "arrowheads" (white sprites) throughout the tunnels suppose to mean something? I've been trying to figure out their logic...

All of the tiles in the tile map do not line up properly and show seams between each other.

What I presume is a randomly generated level, is essentially a collection of dead ends. You know the worst part of a labyrinth? Dead ends? This game is made of them. Even better, if you get caught by one of the evil things, you respawn back at the beginning. But because the tiles are all messed up and there are no milestones of any kind, good luck trying to find your way to your goal, which seems to be a yellow glowing light. If you do find it and collect it... nothing happens.

I also resent that the presentation screenshot in this page has nothing to do with the game's art. Game jams are about improvement and networking to some extent. I'm not sure engaging in AAA style deceptive marketing practices is a good idea to build good will.

Really lacking entry from my point of view.
