So I have to say, I think that this was a well trodden idea, well executed for the Jam. With games like this, most often the thing that makes or breaks them is the writing, and the writing in this game (while sometimes a little repetitive) was very good, and really got me thinking about what to do and what consequences to take. The fact that for many options the outcomes were clear was good, as it meant I knew what I was getting into when I take them.

I did have a couple of frustrations though. Firstly, it was annoying to have the choices broken up with the turn stuff in the middle. I think it should be one then the other (either make a selection and then show the outcome, then allow people to select their growth, maybe limiting the options based on the selection?) or allow people to select first and then give them a task.

I found that the game wasn't very helpful in telling me why I lost, it just says I lost and that was it. I appreciate that the Witch should be lying, but as it stands I have no idea why I didn't win (all of my resources were pretty high). Maybe a little breakdown screen that shows you what you needed for each resource and how close you were to getting it?

Other than that though, I think the game is well made, the writing is good and the music is the perfect accompaniment, really well done!

I haven´t played it yet but I think the idea is awesome. It holds great promise and judging by the screenshots, the artwork looks good, especially the menu one. Can´t wait to play it!

I also have Mac and I'm sorry not to try this game. I proposed this idea early in the jam to my team mates but it was discarded, I would have really liked to see how you took it :)

I'm on OSX so can't play your game but I wanted to say I really like the idea of a King Lear game. It fits the theme really well and looks super interesting. Please let me know if you ever do a Web/OSX build.

The game was really enjoyable to play.
Honestly what I liked the most was the writting, since some events proposed funny concepts and outcomes.
I was left a little confused about all the resources, such as money, religion or popularity if they actually influence on how the rounds play out, because all of them seemed to have the same "weight". I believe for this kind of game it would be cool to have this aspect of management a little more clear, and also more feedback about how your decisions affect the kindom itself , instead of a line of dialog and some status.
This would require more planning in the game design and events, and I'm aware that these aspects are difficult to reach during a game jam.
To be honest I don't know if there is a good ending for the game. I believe it exists, but I was left confused about how to reach it. I believe it you can get it by having a good amount of resources, but again I'm not sure.
The art could have a bit more variety of poses and expressions, but it has its own charm.  Reminds me of the web series of Apollo Gauntlet somehow, I guess because of the contrast between the characters ,background and the medieval theme.
The music and sound were not that great but they matched well with the game itself.
I hope my feedback was not too confusing.
You guys did a good job. Keep it up!  :D

Classic game idea, will executed! I like the many original issues that plaque me as King :D Almost feel like I am running a real country... The game is easy to play, but also very challenging to win, so that is a great combination!
