I have created a team on CrowdForge, but I don't know how to make the team join the jam. Do I have to press the Join Jam button with my account or when closing the team it joins automatically?
Could you rephrase your question please? As from what I understood is that you want to join the jam at https://itch.io/jam/cgj together with your whole team? Well, I'm concerned that this is not possible. Only one person can submit the game to the jam in the end, so it does not really matter if all of your teammates have joined the jam officially. Just make sure to submit the game. It does not matter who does it.
P.S. If you're really only speaking about CrowdForge, then: If you created your team on this site (https://crowdforge.io/jams/cgj) and it shows up there then it participates on the jam. If not, then go there and create it from there again. As mentioned before, it does not really matter if the CrowdForge team participates on the jam, as it is only used to organize yourselves, submitting goes over https://itch.io/jam/cgj by only one person.

Crowdforge isn't connected with the jam and its only use is to make it easier to find a team. To join as a team make sure all team members join the jam and when submitting one person uploads the game and there is going to be a field to add contributors (team members) to the game.
